Is Myles Brennan A Take From the Portal?

In title maybe. He's had enough snaps between Michigan and Tennessee to show that he's not a DI QB.

Sure thing man. I get it but he is still a QB. What happens if next year he beats out Hooker and balls out in this offense? Oh wait, that’s impossible right? Because fans like you have said so.

Doubtful but strange things have happened.
I will say to my knowledge he hasn't talked bad online or pouted on the sidelines by himself so I respect him for that

Not sure you want to take a guy with only 1yr left
Not a fan of leaving mid season either.

Agreed. Bailey pulled a crap move imo. It’s almost like when Spurrier quit on South Carolina. I think if you are gonna hit the portal for QBs, you would ideally want someone who has a couple of years to play.

You don't have to be Dobbs, just enough to avoid pressure, like Burrow/Lawrence were. We need someone who can throw the ball with touch, not a RB.
Surprised you put Burrow and Lawrence together. I remember watching Lawrence outrun half the defense including DBs for long touchdowns off scrambles.

Name one thing that he does that makes you think that's possible.

Size and arm strength. Like I said is it likely? Absolutely not. But it’s not impossible. Who knows? Maybe a full year under Heupel does wonders for him. Simply stating that it’s impossible for him to improve is silly.

Well, Lawrence did do that, but he didn't do it very often and like Burrow, scrambled to at first still complete the throw until he HAD to run.

I'm sure we would take him. I don't think for a minute he'd consider coming here unless Hooker left early. He's a one and done guy wherever he goes.

Yeah. I'd think he'd be looking to go some place where there really won't be a QB competition.

You don't want Brennan. I live in Baton Rouge and watched his whole career. He is injury prone, never could put on good weight, less of a runner than Bailey. He has had a couple of good throwing games, but overall ... no.

If he wants to come here, great, but I wouldn't pursue him or use a scholarship on him. ^^^ Like GMC said, he can't stay on the field and was less than stellar when he did. I really don't think UT brings in a transfer QB (unless Milton xfers). There are more important needs elsewhere. I know everyone is panicking because Bailey left, but I think UT will be fine. Hooker is the guy, and Hooker is the guy next year. I don't think you bring in someone to compete against him for #1, you work to make him and the offense better. Milton is #2, like him or not, and even if he goes (I think he stays) I don't think CJH panics. UT will have Simpson next season, and I think CJH is comfortable with the walk-ons, honestly. He will need to recruit a good QB for '23 for sure, though.

So he quit on his team in the middle of the season? Don't want ;)
You mean, like Bailey? No, each person has to do what they feel is right for their own future. Wish Bailey all the best. Just making a comparison.

No thanks. There will be others who fit UT's profile much better. If not, invest in a JUCO or HS player.
