I agree, we don't need anything like that near our program.

My comparison to Banks and Mays is that, their moments in stupidity, embarrassment, or prickness...I didn't want those anywhere near our program neither. Cancerous.

Even though Banks is still fiery as hell, and a 15 yd penalty waiting to happen, he's far from the kid that was sitting in the backseat of that cop car.

All solid points…but facing the dodgers hitting lineup twice..they’ve seen your stuff….Braves issue back to back years has been the bullpen..they will have to prove to me they can close…dodgers hitters are just that good..and I don’t like a rookie being on the mound if I’m a braves fan.also

“Of the 45 previous teams to have won Game 5 after trailing a best-of-seven series 3-1, 20 then forced a Game 7 (44%). Of those 20, 14 (70%) completed the comeback and won the series.”🤷🏽‍♂️

Ya just never know bro…..Go Sports
True. But we rested our two best bullpen arms for two days. I think we got lucky to get one in LA and that’s all we needed. But that’s why they play the game! Always a fun series between the Braves and Dodgers. Our lineup is money like the dodgers when they get going.

That’s pretty much where I’m at. When freeman (who, in spite of my inclination to hate him because he’s a brave, I just can’t help but have the highest amount of admiration/respect for him) hit the homer last night I was like “OK just put us out of our misery and end this thing”. Our offense is just so hot or cold…it always feels like we’re either going to score 8+, or less than 3.

Freeman alone last year about beat us..Him and Acuna!…are the spark in Atlanta but they all feed off Freeman…Dave roberts about cost us the World Series because he would continue to pitch to freeman and not walk him…also Dave Roberts plays analytics baseball just like Don Mattingly did.

Unfortunately in (my opinion) it’s hit or miss baseball instead of just playing old school baseball like..bunting,stealing bases..just moving base runners into scoring position by just putting the ball in play with RBI’s and hitting the gaps…Dave talked about “going back to regular “ baseball in his previous news conference and that’s what he should have been playing this whole time..you can’t just always swing for the fence like the dodgers have all year..sometimes RBI’s and putting it into play is good as well, especially in the playoffs when it counts the most.

Dodgers lineup becomes too picky at times which infuriates me.always swinging for the fences instead of just putting the ball into play!…this team would be unbeatable if they just worried about getting hits..dodgers hitters are stacked.

I can’t stand Will West and I will never listen to him.Ever since he called average sports fans idiots on his show a few years ago I have despised him.I may not know much of the ins and outs about reading offenses and defenses but that doesn’t take away my passion about Tennessee sports.
I dont pretend to be end all be all on radio personalities, but, recalling back to when I was a kid listening to WKPT on my grandmother's MCM desktop radio/turntable & Jon Ward on radio. Ive loved it ever since.

He's not the best at what he does. Regional talent.

Yeah these ain’t it.

Looks like my guy just walked past someone mowing the lawn.

😂😂😂😂 bro I’m dying laughing..keep the jokes up!…I’m glad you brought this up…speaking of mowing grass!…🗣🗣 For those of you who mow keep ya damn grass in the yard and not on the road for all my biker vol fans in here..every life counts🗣🗣🤘🏽👏🏽👏🏽🧡🤍

Went back and read it and mine still stands. Rattler had been committed to Oklahoma since 2014 and everything was roses. The QB1 was released shortly after he enrolled and I’m sure Riley wouldn’t have yanked his scholarship based on what little was imparted. He put up all the HIGH SCHOOL number that you’d want in a face of the program QB. Since then he’s established a track record and it’s not a simple slam dunk for just any program. My post was concerning bringing up Banks and Mays and their personal hiccups that we accepted. There’s a huge difference in giving a LINEBACKER you have already signed and a hometown legacy OL who wanted to return after spurning you, and a face of the program QUARTERBACK. That’s the position the rest of the team takes it’s cues from. That’s my point. Just a lot more to lose.
Oh, I agree, b. If Rattler is all these things, and we have no reason to believe he's not, I don't want him, no matter how good he is...especially as the leader of our team.

My comparison to Banks and Mays is all about growing up. People brought stories here about Cade in high school. They said he was a prick and had a terrible attitude. Now, I love for the OL to be nasty individuals; but, some of those plays while he was at UGA were cheap. I see none of that in him now. Still nasty, not cheap.

But, since I do believe in change, Rattler is absolutely worth looking at, if he's there. Someone said, maybe what's happened at OU will humble him.

I agree but unfortunately all the studies done on it shows that we are wrong…. You average more runs per game and win more games playing the analytical style….. I feel it makes for a horrible product.

Looking at next years schedule (I know early), I see 7 wins easy. Could get 8-10 as well.

Ball State: W
Pitt: W (no Pickett and they are an old team too)
Akron: W
UF: (60/40)
LSU: (50/50)
Bama: (75/25)
UT-Martin: W
Kentucky: (50:50) Although we own them and I could see Stoops getting a big job this year and we roll them.
Georgia: (75/25)
Missouri: W
South Car: W
Vandy: W

7-5 floor to me.

Nugs from practice: hooker, and cooper starting…..Tiyon rotated in and out during the walk through so I’m assuming he is good to go….. Cade is not traveling with the team…. Does not know an update on Cade’s condition though.

Thanks

Any word on the Defense side ? Simmons? Any others still dinged up?

We have a punchers chance now with Scherzer and Beuhler back to back with decent rest…… Both have been dealing with a little bit of a dead arm with how much they have been used but hopefully they both one more in them…. Justin Turner has been dealing with a neck injury…. I wish having the day off would get him back but they are saying he is done for the postseason. We also need pollocks body to hold up….. we are a much better team right now with him in the lineup.
Please tell me you're not really trying to use Dodgers injuries as an excuse if they lose to the Braves. Do you not know about Braves injuries?

I actually think we’ll be better next year. Alot of guys come back and if we can plug some holes with upgraded talent from the transfer portal to just make next season float to at least 7-5 8-4 then that 23’ class could be Top 10-15. Another year in the system for everyone
We have to go all in, guns blazing, on the transfer portal. I'm all for doing a crazy oversigning class as well, 30+ Butch Jones style. Pack the roster.

Anything less than 7 wins and we should be very worried.. possibly UF and def LSU with new coaching staffs.. could have Bama coming to town with us sitting at 5-0....

No excuses….. I just didn’t think we could win bc the injuries happened when we couldn’t replace them and having to go through the wildcard without the depth to keep going…. I didn’t think we could beat Milwaukee if they were our opponent and I feel the Astros will roll us if we get lucky to make it that far….. the Dodgers keep surprising me though so who knows.

Early nugs: Crawford is starting at tackle…. Dayne has been benched…. My person doesn’t know if that’s a good thing bc he thinks Crawford will struggle…. Tiyon has gotten a lot of reps this week but still considered day to day…. Should know more after walk through.
Crawford will struggle, but Dayne was nearly useless and the biggest reason our offense struggled. I appreciate his effort and all, and that part is inspiring, plus I don't want to rip him because it is not his fault...but he just isn't talented enough to play in this league...he should never see the field at a program like UT, but that is just the reality of our ultra thin roster right now.

I think with our coaches working with him over time he could become at least solid..Ollie has gotten better the more he had played.

The only negative to the portal is you do lose that "another year in the system" , at least for those guys.
I can't wait until we've got almost all fully familiar 2nd and 3rd year guys taking over in this system.

My goodness we might be in for some good times. Need the right QBs and woah momma.
