College refs should be full time employees with no family affiliations with any school in the conference where they officiate. Train them, pay them and hold them accountable. It is not rocket surgery.
It would be easy to take a million from each school and hire 75 refs and pay them and $150,000 each. Would leave over 2.5 million for training and travel. Heck, take 1.5 million from each school and pay them $200,000.

Ryan Hagan, who was the line judge for our Bama game in 2019, went to Samford and I believe Hoover High School. His brother at the time had pictures online and clearly showed to be a Bama fan.

@rjd970 needs to repost his post from October 22, 2019.
I didn't say Bama fans hadn't reffed a Bama game, just not a Bama grad. The league actually draws the line at letting alumni ref games.

That sucks Bass. I have to make a decision on if I want to continue being employed for the company I’ve worked for for 20 years before the end of November. I was essential this time last year. Just a number this…
That's it man. Companies are showing what they really think of their employees. They don't care about you. The hospital didn't care about my wife. Just numbers.

It's insanity what is happening with this foolishness
