The frustrating part about Milton is the arm talent is there but it’s the mental aspect that’s not. As far as the Mays and Evans? I would sit them against Bama. Let them heal up so they can help lay the beat down on UK.

I think that pass was right there, just off of the hands. I think he will be fine, because he knows he has to. He knows to get back the trust with a lot of fans, he has to play well. If he does that, then it’ll be a win for him.

No more chances, in addition to the obvious passing and touch issues, I think he has an attitude problem. Other posts I have read says he was not engaged on the sideline most of the game. Some think he ran out of bounds thinking it was the end of the third quarter. I don't care who is next in line in QB, I would play them before Milton.

More RPOs and play action to get him throwing with more rhythm and slowing down his work through the progressions.

Some of those over throws seems like he was just rushing to get rid of the ball.

Roll outs like they did with Crompton so he only reads half the field.

Offensive line health is almost as big a problem right now as Hooker being out. It won't matter how lousy the Alabama secondary is if they can't protect Milton up front.

Treat it like the island of misfit QB’s…. Like the squirt gun that shoots jelly you Put him in a PBJ factory and he excels

take Milton and tell him you are running a play that is a 15 yrd post-meanwhile you tell the receivers to go out 35 and the ball will be there. Bingo, Bango, TD, Bama dead!!!

I don’t think Tennessee can start slow enough and have the time for Milton to find success. He just doesent have the tools to be successful in this offense. Clock awareness, instincts, natural running motion, touch, blocking assignments, or executing the easy plays.

For whatever reason it’s not there. If he has to play Saturday it won’t be long before Bailey has to come in. CJH should politely ask him when he had his Vision checked. I can’t remember the last QB regardless of team that didn’t show any growth at all. Even ole JG as bad as he was showed instances where he could be at least be serviceable

Milton lacks two major things:
1. Situational Awareness - You just CANNOT run the ball with 3 seconds on the clock; must go to the EZ
2. Touch: Direct line throws he's really good but touch over LBs or deep balls he just can't hit them in game.

To OP question..... He can help fix both but not in a week or even a month. It is proving that he needs major improvements which takes an offseason in my opinion. Even then it is a maybe.... Still hurting from that last play so take that for what it is worth.

The other real problem for Milton that most people would rather put in kinder terms is that he is scared to get hit. Maybe CJH could fix Milton's arm but not his heart and he has to run right now while we only have so much on OL. If he would put his head down and go, then slide at the last, he could do a lot. He doesnt though. He gingerly dances forward and kind of gives up when someone is close to hitting him. That was not just on Sat but before as well. Its hard to understand really since he has the physique.

Just that feeling that he will start, but you may be right of seeing Bailey in this one. Didn’t Bailey play against Bama, and he had a couple of drives there. I can’t remember. I believe he did?

I don’t remember right off either but I know he came in and had a hell of a short series before being pulled by balding pinhead and that’s when the Bailey talk started

Think about this:
He runs slow and seems not to want to get hit.
Has little to none situational awarenedd
His short passes although fairly accurate are thrown so hard they are hard to catch. (no touch)
Can't hit the deep ball. (no touch)
Surely we have someone who can do at least one or two of those things better.

Play Milton and dont play any nicked up players this game. Let HH and the rest get healthy and get the bye week in and then put Milton 3rd string or 4th
