Nobody needed to be open. It's literally the LAST PLAY of the game. Who cares if it gets intercepted. Throw a jump ball into the endzone and hope a WR jumps up and makes a play or you very a DPI. The chance of that working is low. But it's not zero. What he did gave us a zero percent chance to win. Was he worried about his stat sheet having an INT on it?Milton had no choice but to go out of bounds. There where 3 defenders on him. You saw him go to throw but that was after he had crossed the LOS. If you all remember Kamara did the same thing vs Vandy in 16.
Milton tried to make a play. None of us that werent at the game know if anyone was open in the end zone. Im assuming not since he ran. Im also assuming the guy made the play he thought was best.
If Georgia had that strip score on a QB, EVERYONE in CFB media would be drooling all over themselves and lauding their legendary defense. This really should be addressed. I dont know what kind of excuses commentators made for the sec officials, but bama and UGA gets those calls 100% of the time . Unreal our self policing asses can't get calls. Our program is a cuck.
I think we overestimate how much anyone will care about this, outside of the 2 fanbases.
I just don’t think it’s a story that will survive more than a week. I mean, that’s 2 NFL and 1 college football news-cycles from now.
Just these past couple of weeks we had Urban, Gruden, and Kyrie.
Baseball is here, basketball is here, NFL is hitting its stride, and the CFb playoff rankings will be coming out soon to really set everyone's hair on fire.
And posters in the game thread were complaining about the defense
That spot should have been closer, but I believe it was short as well. The strip of Corral for the touchdown was unadulterated theft with no justification. NO WHISTLE!One negative:
The guy running the Jumbotron did no favors by only showing an angle that looked like we got the first down. 102,455 people all KNEW it was a first down. I don’t believe stuff gets thrown if the correct angle is shown.
If he's hurt enough to have to stop play then he shouldn't be playing so soon anyway. My only problem with this is that it ends up being a major punishment for those who are actually hurt. Imagine a corner getting the wind knocked out of him on a tackle and then having to sit around 9 or 10 more plays until the drive is over because of this rule. Seems harsh for an actual injury
