Recruits: I hope not, but probably we lost out on the visiting recruits. I tell you the truth, I fully expected folks to storm the field and attempt to assault Lane and his team, and maybe anyone else in between. Glad that at least that didn't happen. But you got to think, recruits likely wondered as well. Then decided the UT is just too dangerous to attend and play football.
Game Refs: Go ahead and hate, I think the game overall was fairly called, except for the scoop and score. The ball came out just before the QB was wrestled to the ground. Beyond that, the calls were on the money, that's my take anyway.
The Kif: Got the last laugh, caught him smirking. But then, he's the Kif, so I expect him to be cocky jackass.
Joe Milton: My, my, his passes had touch for once. But the last play, even with the WRs were well covered, which they were, I'd have chucked that ball to the end zone and hoped a teammate despite all odds caught it. However, I strongly believe the Heup told him not to blindly throw it because he was the only one behind the LOS. If the ball got intercepted, likely he'd be the last hope to stop the play. Only to be blown up by a gaggle of Miss.escorts. AND, if they scored as well, those Vols fans might even turn on and seek to assault both Joe, Heup himself and maybe our own team as well. Never underestimate the stupidity of humans. Nor the arrogance. Even Quark knew that.
You're overlooking something. Humans used to be a lot worse than the Ferengi: slavery, concentration camps, interstellar wars. We have nothing in our past that approaches that kind of barbarism. You see? We're nothing like you... we're better. --Quark--
The Game: From the start, I saw that the Miss. defense was not so much the trash as we thought. Perhaps because the Kif used UT fans' hate for him and disrespect for Ole Miss. as fuel to get them to play above their usual level. So our first offense series, I got to thinking, oh-oh, this may get nasty.
Our Team: There was no quit in them, dishearten, yes, but not quit. Dayum proud of them boys, dayum proud.
WoodsmanVol: I stayed to the bitter end. Then I watched some
Chhota Bheem cartoons to numb the pain and shame.
