My BVS will not let me get too excited yet. I’ll be at the game but sadly I’m still in see it to believe mode. I expected wins over Mizzou and SCAR. This is our first true SEC test.

I'm reasonably excited, which I define as looking forward to the game and feeling like I'll be at peace with the outcome as long as we play well because I genuinely believe we're going in the right direction, even if we only manage 6-6.

I totally agree. I’m excited that it’s meaning football but it just feels like the type of game I’ve been hyped before and been let down. I think we are 100% improved and headed in a good direction. I just have to see it to believe with these type of games. I really don’t want to go 0-4 our next 4.

I don't either, but after Pitt I was seriously worried about 4-8. I really want one of these next four but I refuse to live and die by that. Once Pruitt was fired I went into this mindset that we really did have to rebuild this thing from the ground up. They're already ahead of the schedule I set.

We desperately need to win at least one fo these next 4… I feel confident a bowl game is in the bag but man going into those final 2 weeks 4-6 would suck. I feel we can beat Ole Miss and Kentucky but I gotta see it. I expected 6-6 or 7-5 this year and I am very encouraged by what I’ve seen from this staff and team. That said, one game at a time. Beat Ole Miss! GBO!

Desperately?

The only thing a first year HC, after losing umpteen players to the portal and a 3-7 team, desperately had to avoid was going 4-8 and we've already avoided that with a surefire 6 wins in the bag.

We've effectively already made a bowl game in Y1, the rest is gravy (from a fan's perspective, I have no doubt the players are going full steam ahead, as they should). The rest is just image (aka losing 4 straight looks bad, but it's merely how things were scheduled).

I have decided to just enjoy the good moments instead of hand wringing (which I am extremely good at) over wins this year. Nobody expected us to beat Missouri or SC. I sure didn’t expect the offense to do what they did. And absolutely did not expect to have a defense playing like they have. We don’t have enough players to win...unless the coaches and players continue the way they are.
