I would give anything for my 11-year-old daughter to be interested in Tennessee football and be begging me to go to the game! She has her other interests, which is completely fine. However, if she ever comes to me and wants to go to the game, I will be buying tickets within about 10 seconds of that. Hope y’all have a blast Saturday night!
Same here. Just isn’t her thing.

Disagree on Pickett, maybe as fans people didn’t expect him to be good but coaches knew he was really good. The guy was a mid Round projected draft pick and came back because he wanted to be a first round guy. It was known he was a really good QB that has NfL talent
This is true, but he is still playing much better than his first three years would suggest. No doubt he was very good. This year, he is absolutely lights out.

If UT tries to shorten the game with Ole Pi$$, it will be the worst coaching decision ever made. We better start fast and finish faster or we'll be on the wrong end of the score. Kiffin will do his best to try to embarrass UT.
Ole Miss might be a closer talent match-up than a couple of other games down the road. So am not saying you're wrong. Football is a game of tactics. If Heup was protecting talent Saturday at some point a tactical reality comes into play. I just want to be able to recognize it when it happens. Len'Neth may be key to some of the mid to late second half play taking on this stretch of the schedule.

It’s all hypotheticals and irrelevant now lol

Given the circumstances, I don’t think Hooker would have beaten Pitt at that time either BUT…. Had he been given the first team reps all fall camp I firmly believe he beats Pitt. It didn’t take him long to develop rapport and timing. Glad Heupel didn’t keep trotting out his mistake. Like you said, irrelevant now,

We have had a lot of injuries this year but some have sort of been a blessing in disguise. It has forced us to put kids in position to go out there and prove the staff can trust them and more times than not the kids are stepping up and giving staff more
Options in positions that they can trust.

Ollie Lane and Kingston Harris at Guard. 2 guys I ever expected we would see but Cooler injury forced them into action.

Whatever the deal is with Mitchell has allowed Beasley and Page at LB to step up. Beasley in particular has made it hard to take him out. He is always seemingly around the ball and has imo taken that spot from Mitchell. I’d like to see Apache get some reps he has impressed me whenever he gets in field.

Seen some improvement from Harrison as he has gotten more time with Baron injury limited his reps and Young situation for first two games. Omari getting more snaps at DT with Elijah slowed by injury.

Slaughter, Tmac, Charles, Turnage have showed flashes that they can provide productive depth for the starters if not challenge them for their spot.

Brooks going down has allowed us to see some other guys on Punt and Kickoff while he healed up.

Kids seem to be buying into the next man up mentality as they appear ready to seize the opportunity making it harder for staff not to keep them out there

Possibly Pitt. Hooker might have connected on some of those long passes early which would have completely change the way that game played out.
The gameplan would have been slightly different with Hooker starting, IMO. No way to know whether we win or not. We lost because we gave up 41, IMO, not because of who the starting QB was.

Don’t care what anyone says. Still think we’re a Top 25 team. And pollsters did a disservice to TV for not ranking us ahead of this matchup. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
We've been a laughing stock for the past 10 years. Do you really think anyone, in the media, is gonna change their mind after 6 games with a complete new staff :):)

Is that the real Vol Twitter? I'm not on twitter, but it's misspelled on both the name and the @

Vol Twitter is hard to define anymore in fairness, but no those are not 2 popular accounts among vol fans on twitter. Vol Twitter was way better when Jon Reed was himself and seemed to spearhead it. @gmannVOLS comes to mind as someone to look at for circulating things. If he gets on board then I'd say it's a legit movement in the direction. There are others too but they're newer and it's nowhere near the same as it was 5 years ago. Houston Kress comes to mind.

Don't give Kiffin any special attention.
it's not about Kiffin. it's about us, our atmosphere, our fans, our recruiting, our checker board tradition, our acknowledgement that we have a fantastic venue, with a starving fan base, and enhancing all of that, isn't a bad thing.

hasn't got a thing to do with kiffin. and if you truly believe that we're doing this or might do this out of some "fear" that kiffin is coming back, then i'd say stay home and yell at the TV.
