Why is he transferring?

Playing time.

He is a decent back. I don’t want him just because I’d rather use every spot available for depth on the defense. No instant impact guys coming in....right now.

Even if he doesn’t we need a solid pairing with him. Small hasn’t been able to stay healthy and we’ve got nothing after that.

edit: just agreeing with tou. We need depth. Whitehead is still raw and still think ends up at LB when it is said and done. Maybe I’m wrong but he just looks like a LB
