So is Nate peterman….. explain that one to me.
Has the skills…if not the achievements. Chase Daniel is another. It’s a valuable commodity to find a quarterback skilled enough to finish a game or start a few with no long term expectations.

Also. I saw Bammer and Cowbells on ESPN OCT 16 in the Same timeslot we’re playing Ole Miss… Wtf is up with that. We all know what will happen in that game. Wouldn’t the better game be Ole Miss Tennessee??? Sold out Neyland with presumably two solid SEC teams. Sheesh but no, Bammer biased with the espn networks

I’ve wondered if we got in a pinch if we would mix Velus in at RB. I could see him making the Antonio Gibson type move in NFL from college WR to NFL RB

His QBR for his 3 yrs has been 12.4, 8.0, and 30.4….. he has also thrown 3 TDs and 10 ints…… would you want to rely on that guy to be your back up QB? Chase Daniels career qbr is 85…… huge difference in performance.

Gus and Butch two of the highest rated coaching hires this offseason.

Pundits are morons.

I can understand the Hyoe around both. Butch excels on that lower level but he went through I think 3 OC hires before game 1…. Recipe for disaster. People in coaching circles just don’t trust him with how he treated other coaches at TN. He throws assistants under the bus and so they are not loyal back and willing to jump at opportunities.

Gus was all about people expecting him to dominate a lower level. If he had went to a P5 the hire likely would have been graded low bc he is what he is. There are no secrets with Gus anymore. You saw at Auburn what he will be. An offense that needs a runner at QB and play power run scheme. If he would come to that same realization that he is not a QB guru then he will be successful. Until then he wont

This is a comparison of offensive possession outcomes based on ours and Carolina’s respective schedules. The table looks for the number of offensive possessions that end in a TD. I removed possessions that end at the half from the TD% calculation because most of those are running out the clock.

We’ve had one pick six by our defense (against Tennessee Tech) and our special teams have given up one kickoff return (against Missouri). South Carolina has had three pick sixes (one against each of Eastern Illinois, East Carolina, and Troy). They gave up a safety to Georgia. Those scorings are not included in the TD% because we’re just trying to look at how the offense fares when it’s on the field. The only other deviation in scoring is Carolina converted a 2 point attempt against Eastern Illinois. The score column does however include the total team points for the games, for reference.

The ESPN & SAGarin are the current rankings of the teams in the tables by those outlets.

Our OFFENSE has scored 26 TDs on the year and South Carolina’s OFFENSE has scored 9. If you want to eliminate the FCS games, our OFFENSE has scored 19 TDs and Carolina’s OFFENSE has scored a total of 4 TDs on the year.
