Good stuff as always

I think more than anything Florida game exposed the lack of pressure our DL gets on a QB. And maybe that's by design, but I think it's a mix of a few things at this point.
As a team we're generating a lot of TFLs, but if you examine those numbers the DL accounts for just 9 of those. (note: Baron, Eason, Byron are all considered OLBs)
Butler - 2
Blakely - 2
Tremblay - 2
Simmons - 1.5
Terry - 1
Solomon - 0.5
Our lowest TFL total of the season was 5, against Florida. So ultimately we have some stout guys on the DL, big strong bodies but no one to this point has shown any sort of explosiveness to get into the backfield. Teams with stout OLs that can pick up extra blitzers (like Florida did) will be able to move the ball and pass protect against us. It's why Pitt and Mizzouri were able to rack up passing yards.
Now I don't think USC has a stout OL, they gave up all kinds of pressure to Troy. Also Doty only had 153 passing yards against Georgia, 61 passing yards came from Zeb Noland on one pass.
Ultimately our success against tougher teams, Bama, Georgia, Ole Miss, and yes even Kentucky will come down to either our DL generating more pressure (without us needing to blitz to do it) and/or our secondary/LBs creating more turnovers. So far all of our INTs have came in two games, TTU & Missouri. I think if we get a lead on South Carolina we will see some more.
