My view is decent , but it's taken me several years to get here. Not sure about beer lines, but in general, concessions lines are pretty good.

Well, he may never win greatest motivational speech award, but he's genuine and the guys see that realness and intelligence. Guy knows what he's doing. He has a plan, all he needs now are some studs to see it too and jump in the boat.

How many times have we seen/heard players say stuff like Evans leading up to a game? "I think we're gonna have a lot of fun." And then nothing really comes of it or it blows up in our face.

I'm not saying we should act like we won a marathon because we walked over a Welcome mat, but I do think this is indicative of players believing in their preparation. To have the confidence in what you are seeing, then what you are planning, to know that you are going to go out and take command. Jennings would say things, but they weren't really rooted in prep, more competitive. Sometimes we would get talking tracks from Dobbs about prep. This seemed different.

I have been pleasantly surprised with our preparation and planning going into games. The architecture of a winning strategy was there vs Pitt. The winning plays have been there in other games, just not the execution. Things feel like they're starting to click and guys are buying in.

If we win 8 games this year, beating Ole Miss and KY, we're going to be kicking ourselves hard over that Pitt loss and maybe even Fl. Both of those were winnable games things just hadn't clicked for us yet. But that will show a lot of promise in year 1.

If we win 8 games Heupel deserves SEC coach of the year.

I may be alone in this thought, but I wouldn’t do anything special for the ole miss game. Welcome them to Knoxville, whip their ass and send them back to Mississippi. kiffin doesn’t deserve any special treatment. Treat them as just another team that needs another loss at our hands just like mizzou and usc this coming weekend. No different.

My thing is, we are getting better every week. As long as we avoid the injury bug we'll be playing our best ball in November. If so, and the offense is really clicking, we'll beat UK handily. Their offense is terrible and they won't be able to score with us. People are not giving our defense enough credit. Our defense is actually good and are getting better. Linebackers just had their best game. We also get them after a bye.

There's no way we can avoid the injury bug. We just don't have the depth this year. Studies have shown, football injuries increase when the players are tired and not playing full speed.

Why did the Smoky Greys disappear? Those were some of the sharpest alt unis in college ball. The mountains on the helmet were a very nice touch too.

They are still tainted by the spirit of Butch Jones. Maybe someday they can be exorcised and return to use.

I’m still at war with the fruit flies of my apartment. Girlfriend and I have cleaned the place spotless and they’re still here. We’re really kinda stumped on why. Apartment was never really dirty, and it’s even cleaner now.
