What do y’all think about the points this SC fan makes?

View attachment 399315

South Carolina Defense SEC rankings:
5th points allowed: 17.4
3rd passing yards allowed: 155
9th rushing yards allowed: 142.2
1st in turnovers created: 2.8

Tennessee Offense SEC rankings:
4th points per game: 40.8
8th passing yards gained: 219.6
2nd rushing yards gained: 254.0
7th in turnovers given up: 1.2

Now the matchup on the other side...

South Carolina Offense SEC rankings:
13th in points per game: 22.4
12th in passing yards gained: 205.2
11th in rushing yards gained: 122.8
11th in turnovers given up: 1.6

Tennessee Defense SEC rankings:
9th points allowed: 21.8
12th passing yards allowed: 235.2
4th rushing yards allowed: 104.0
6th in turnovers created: 1.4

So they'll have to hold us to 24 or less to have a shot at winning.

Not gonna happen. We'll have 24 by halftime.

Maybe I’m crazy but I don’t want the NCAA decision on our punishment if there is one coming until after the season.. I imagine IF we got a post season ban it could be deflating to a team and I don’t want it to effect this season. Our kids are playing well and exceeding many folks expectations and I hope they keep it up! Also I hope we have AD and administration that will fight for us tooth and nail like all these other programs do.
Don’t hold your breath

The only good offensive team SC has played is GA. SC gave up 40 points and close to 500 yards of offense.

Randall Cobb doesn't get much love since he didn't play for UT(should have, not his
fault)but I can't think of many East Tennessee guys who have had a better modern era professional sports career. He is a fantastic WR.
Witten. Spurrier. Bobby Dodd. Reggie White, Chatt.

To a lesser degree Gerald Sensabaugh from Kingsport, think he had a cousin.

List I looked at also included Sterling Marlin, sooooooo....

Also I still don't think our secondary/passing defense is bad. Here's the top 10 QBs by passing yards in the country right now.

We've already faced two of them... they throw a ton of yards in every game they've played. Pickett very well could end up in the Heisman race, his 10.3 yards per attempt is insane. Dude is in his last season trying to audition to be a top draft pick and the ACC is up in the air with Clemson having lost 2 already in conference.

Pitt's offense is elite and ranked 1st at 52.4 ppg.

Next step for the team is to show consistency with their level of performance week to week. South Carolina is bad and it shouldn't be a close game. If they take care of business against South Carolina, then I think it's a given that they're going to give themselves a good shot at Ole Miss. Kentucky hasn't looked that impressive but are finding a way to win so far. I remember a few years back they were hyped up after a good start to the season (think they were 4-0) and then they lost most of their remaining games. I doubt they fall off a cliff, but they could easily finish the season with a whimper.

I think we take SC to the woodshed. Win by 14+. Then ole miss will be a shootout and we’ll have a real chance. I think everyone outside of AL and GA are in play. We are thin and inexperienced in spots so we won’t win all of them but we should be in every game except those two. If he can get us competing in those I’d be thrilled

Hey team, been away for a bit with crazy work schedule (installed SAP inventory system in August and it’s been a nightmare!) and having to run to the Land of Gump for my sons football games, but I’ve chiseled out some spare time to keep tabs on this team (minus recruiting, I’ll catch up there later). Anyways, I’m pleasantly surprised with players like Hooker making the most of opportunity and frankly the progression of the defense. There’s no way we’re competing with Alabama or Georgia, but outside of that we have a punchers chance against anyone, and I see this group really coming together. Also, how nice is it to have a coach who’s not afraid to put his foot on an opposing teams throat!

Hope all is well with everyone and GBO!

Feel for you bud. Our company installed SAP 20 years ago and it was a piece of crap then and it looks like it hasn't changed much since then :):):). My advice to you is blow it up and start over :cool:

Did you know Peyton Manning reached out to Kenny Pickett this off season to work with him? Blue font
