Speaking of Banks.
1)How did Heupel even find him?
2) How the hell did he convince him to come here?
He was on several short lists. Rebuffed earlier interest from us but when we got turned down by Washington, White got more persistent. I’m sure he was ready to run his own show because the “co-“ in his title was title only. I’m thinking Heupel had a good part in the sell job. A HC who doesn’t meddle on that side is enticing.

That last part makes sense. I was just looking at their resumes thinking they crossed paths somewhere, but nope. That's the wildest part to me. Banks is a Northen guy who had been in the B10 his whole career.
Other random fact, I just learned Banks was DC at CMU when Butch was the HC there.

I was in that boat for a little.

Many have been. Selecting Milton to start the first game of the season - to actually go out and recruit that guy to come to UT to start after SP had already showed him who was in the QB room caused me to question him. Milton is every bit as much a project as HB and Maurer.

My qualifier for any up and comer HC is if they learn from their errors and are willing to make the necessary changes at the time they are needed. Kiffin - yes, but he bolted. Dools, Botch, Cornbread - nope. Heup - yes.

Switching Qb's is one of the things that has me coming around. Seeing the O having people run wide open on one of the big 3 is another. Seeing Heupel run when it's there. Keep the penalties cleaned up and show some consistency are the next 2 big ones.
Then recruiting but that will take a while to manifest itsself.

The Sunhine Pumper is coming out in me today.

Our guys just took a non-candy division opponent to the woodshed and burned it down when they were through. This was just one week removed from a tough loss playing a physical UF in the swamp and coming out with a lot of injuries including a dinged up QB and loss of their starting C with a depthless roster and a 11 AM start time on the road.

Wow. Just wow.

Let's all just realize that Florida beat Florida more than Kentucky beat Florida.

Plus the block FG returned for a TD, went from FL going up 13-7 to instead going down 13-10 (KY even missed the PAT afterwards)
#4 for KY is a menace(Paschal?). He single handedly destroyed everything UF wanted to do, and blocked the field goal.

how bad is Dee Beckwkth that some dude named Marcus got carries?
Don't knock Marcus dude. He's a walk-on who was a starter at his previous college. He came to UT as a walk-on just to prove to himself he could play with the big boys. He plays like his hair is on fire and with more heart than probably anyone on the team. I love it when he gets in the game. I couldn't give a rats a$$ about Beckwith when we have guys who play with heart---and do it well.

Yeah OL played really well, even the backups punched in a TD.

Did anyone get hurt or banged up? What's the injuries look like.

Simmons got hurt in the 1st half, was in street clothes in the 2nd half.

I believe that's the only big injury of note.

100% agree.

And don't wear that Batman costume ever again.

It isn’t premier depth, but the coaches are doing a great job playing a ton of guys in the front 7. 15-20 guys play every game in the front 7. Meaningful snaps as well.

How so?…he wants to beat saban and if he does we won’t talk about what he did in the pre game interview…we wouldn’t would care how or what he did if he was coaching tennessee,as long as he beat bama…can’t hate on someone who’s hungry..Kiffin is proven.
Kiffin is proven? Proven what exactly? That he can score points, usually. And he can talk big. Oh, and get young girls.

What else has he proven?

If we finish 8-4, then I’m building a Heupel statue on campus......a very mini one, somewhere in the corner.
Macaroni Heupel?
