Kiffin already put one of our feet in the grave. Don't need him here to finish the job. I do hope he beats Bama this weekend.

Imo we go down blazing with Kiffin or some other scum like Hugh Freeze, or have a slow painful decline as the boosters and fan base vanish. I'll take the excitement please. 09 was fun.

Peyton can say whatever he wants but that isn’t true. You don’t go out of the shotgun for “ball security”

I don’t think he said ball security. He specifically said, “because you can see the ball.” To me, that meant you had more options out of the gun along with ball security.

Five years ago today, Ladies and Gentlemen. It never gets old.

As our good friend Nick would say, "inject it in my veins"

I was there on the home side of the field. When GA scored, we would have left but the butt-sniffers were too rowdy for us to safely get out. I've got a video on my phone of the team still on the field, gathered in front of the band across from us...damn near no one but Tennessee fans left in the stadium with Rocky Top echoing in the night.

When watching the replays, one of my favorite things to watch is Josh Smith. He had a front row seat for it and was the second person in the entire stadium who knew JJ caught it.

The first person?

"Juaun, when did you know you had caught the ball?"

"When coach called the play"

watching jayzeus throw worm burners into ground was fun? we were pretty bad.

Fans were pissed off a lot that year. UCLA, Ole Miss, VT. Pilot robbery.

There were fun moments, but a lot of this “I miss Lane” stuff is an amalgamation of the nostalgia of those moments, plus his coaching ability now.

He wasn’t ready then, and we would have eventually left him on the tarmac if he hadn’t left on his own.

As epic as it gets.

Which is why I said I thought joker (move type) TE. Those guys rarely block other than like WR's. The just catch balls and take advantage of match-ups. Seems like he could dominate safeties and LB's with his size, jumping ability and speed. If the previous staff and this one were trying to make a H-back/TE or Rook out of him, forget it if he will not get physical. Probably not a good idea to spend time on him. Encourage him to go to the portal to free up a spot.
Maybe the staff sees his unwillingness to be Physical as an issue in discipline?
