Going to Baton Rouge for the first time this weekend for a friend’s birthday. Any Vols familiar with good places to park and tailgating spots? It’s worth asking

He is talking about Beckwith as the other.

Lenneth selfish as hell watching us roll out Solon Page each week and still insisting on riding the bench at RB than make the move to ILB.

Watched us put walk on punters at ILB in the spring and didn’t want to help his team.

Damn, Tatis put one in the parking lot at Dodger Stadium. Only the 5th player to do that, joining Stargell (who did it twice), Piazza, McGwire and Stanton.

I’m not the world’s biggest Tatis fan by a long shot but props to him for that.

Miami shows you the power of hitting on a QB. Deriq King hid all their issues last year. They lost to teams that matched or had better talent and showed out vs less talent teams. Diaz is not a good coach and Lashlee was not as good as the praise he was getting. He has proven over years and different places he isn’t a good OC. King tears ACL in bowl game and tries to come back less than a year removed and nowhere close to himself mobility wise. Now he is out and they are exposed

I wondered if that wasn’t the deal with him. I’m one of the few that actually liked his RB film better than his LB film. He seemed to be able to get in the right place to make the play at LB, but didn’t seem to hit with much pop. Maybe he just doesn’t like to hit.

I also wonder if it isn’t a similar deal with Beckwith. He always struck me as somebody that needed to embrace that flex tight end role. Then again, he may have hands of stone for all I know.

He wasn’t even practicing in spring lol how was he going to help anyway? He was even limited in fall camp. So it’s hard to make a position switch when really haven’t had a chance to play RB. Injuries have been his issue. I think he should play Lb but he actually doesn’t look bad at RB the few times he has got carries.

How he could’ve helped was get with the position coach and express the willingness to switch. Sit in on meetings. Start taking reps when healthy.

But kids these days have to have it their way or they’ll hit the portal. I wonder if Al Wilson or Jason Witten would’ve bolted if the portal was around back in the day.

Anybody notice Urban Meyer call the same play Heupel called against Pitt?

4th and goal at the one inch line and he puts 6'6 Trevor in the damn shotgun

What is wrong with modern coaches!?!?
you see miami hand the ball off to that bowling ball off a rb in the gun in 4th and 1?

Bearded Iris has the best beer. Finding them more frequently down here - and that’s a good thing. Always enjoy trips back home to the midstate so I can grab some of the varieties we don’t get around ATL. I’ll look for that one next time I’m up there.

There’s literally no factual evidence that support it being smarter or easier to go under center in short yardage.

Their new spot is nice. It's just down the road from their original location (River Arts District). Very industrial area, right by the skate park.

But it's tough to beat the original after tubing down the French Broad...get off, cross the train tracks for some beer, cornhole, and free peanuts

TWSS You wash that dirty mouth!

It’s a ball security thing. More likely of a fumble under center in that situation.
It’s actually a space thing.

It’s been proven that the 1 yd line in pro football is one of the hardest yards to gain. Plus anything within the 5 yd line.

Backing off and going from the shotgun gives you more room to work with. The issue is you have to take the chance of losing yardage but you open up your playbook more to gain that yardage.

There is very little you can do under center that defenses have to worry about.

Just incredible. Phillies spent allllll that money. Braves went to the bargain bin, and the Braves are back to back to back to back East champs. Even without Acuña
Have to give Snit some credit on this season. It helped being in the weakest division in baseball. I still expect them to get put out in the division series. Just don’t have the elite bullpen arms to finish games. Luke and Will are good to give up at least one homerun for every game they both pitch in.

I saw some stats that stated that 67% of plays under center compared to 63% of plays are successful in the shotgun on 3rd/4th and 1 plays….. it also stated that 82% of QB sneaks in those situations are successful? I’m not sure how accurate those figures are…. Do you know the up to date success rate for those situations?

So you're saying none of the GAs take data on individual plays? I would think this is extremely easy to prove, it would just take time to collect the data.
