I want to see what they can do once the NCAA mess is cleared up. Then we can properly judge them.

I'm not saying it doesn't have some relevance, but I'm not sure much changes without sanctions. Maybe on defense, but in offense none of those guys have had to recruit P5 guys which means they really don't have relationships with that type of talent.

That's whats up. I assume that's because of Garner. Is Heup not a good recruiter? I do worry that we have no big names on the offensive staff and I particularly worry about our OL coach.

Honestly I don't want a HC on the trail much, and I think once the on field product is good Heupel will be a great closer once kids are on campus.

We really need Joey Halzle to be a pretty good recruiter. I think Mack/Burns/Alex are all going to be great recruiters. Elarbee just needs to develop the guys he's got, top rated OL guys are good and all but if you can't develop them it won't matter. OL is a position group where you see lots of 5 star talent bust cause they were just big in HS and played weaker teams. So ya gotta be able to develop and teach.

If somebody is a full go in practice, why wouldn’t they play?

In practice you can limit the reps and monitor them closely. Work out the soreness and if they aren’t 100% needed for this game don’t play them.

I don’t have any info besides that but they could have been trying him out and maybe wasn’t as explosive as they need him to be or wasn’t able to move well enough…. My person wasn’t told anything about his condition or what the thought process was on him needing to be ready to go…. Typically with injuries….. guys have been either receiving rehab or doing light conditioning such as the bike off to the side….We didn’t have any players doing that Tuesday that was noticeable.

I don't know, man...they are blistering red hot right now. I realize that they are probably going to come off the torrid pace of winning they are on, but I think uncle mo is a bigger factor in baseball than any other sport. And the Dodgers have seemed too tight or too loose (can't figure out which) all year.

It’s how they won a WS years ago with Albert. Got hot at the right time.

We do not know yet. He could be or not be. Time will tell. But the defensive staff has good evaluators and coaches. Banks, Jean-Mary, Garner…I really like that side of the ball. I think we could have a mean defense soon with some talent upgrades.

It makes me think that they only practiced Carvin and Coop at center so those are the only options at center. We need Carvin at guard. Move Spraggins to center, Mays to guard, and Davis to tackle.

It is not easy to just move a player to center. Carvin is the best choice for number 2 or we would have already seen someone else in the spot.
It will help, if Carvin gets to practice all week at center. Based on Tech game, Parker Ball is number 3

Was that a recent thing? I only ask because with the newly proposed rule to replace up to 7 transfer players and sign potentially 32 it makes a difference. That would be 3 from this fall (Maurer/Hodge) and put us up to 28 already if CFA counts towards this as well.
