(Dodgers fan here)

So the post-season reward for the two teams that have battled for the best record in the National League all year is that one of them will get beat in a one-game series by the hottest team in baseball, and the other will lose the NLDS to the hottest team in baseball.

I hate sports!

Me and my dad are life long dodger fans as well and he’s stressed this..makes zero sense..cardinals game is definitely a trap game for the dodgers..Giants are just hot right now going in but history shows that fades in the Playoffs.

He made it sound like it was a done deal that cooper isn’t playing this game and could be longer… so it’s volbeast vs AP and Swain now… 🍿
He could be… I will know for sure Friday….. the only facts I know…. Walking good without crutches…. Did rehab instead of conditioning and strengthening yesterday…..practiced today…. My person is not in any meetings discussing these situations….. just what he observes/hears….. he will know 100% Friday who our starters are during walk through.

Either way I appreciate the info you bring. The ankle is tricky and it may be good just to have Coop sit for a couple of weeks and rest his ankle.

If it’s not hurting, swollen, and he can push off good…. I would wrap it and go with it…… it won’t be completely stable until the off season. Like you said, ankles can be tricky.

Really wish baseball would consider shortening the 162 schedule to more like 140-145 and then institute a playoff World Series similar to college baseball. A one game “play-in” game is ludicrous.

100% agree. Very few people including many of the players want to play 162 and the play-in is stupid. Fatigue and injuries worsen with the longer season. Football kicks in and fans lose interest in the regular schedule in September. But the players are afraid their paychecks will be reduced and the clubs think they may lose revenues with less home games. By upping the ante with more playoff opportunities like the CWS - the money would probably increase because of televised playoffs and attendance at games that matter during the season. The regular season game ticket would have more meaning and value. Which would increase the value of regular season play and increase revenues with higher attendance. The real money answer would be in the renegotiated TV packages with the clubs. They need to do this.

I’m hoping it’s positive news Friday

Shampoo is a "product"...college football is a family and friends tradition. You get emotionally invested in college football because of those deep emotional ties. If being a Tennessee Volunteer or a fan any other crappy program was just a "product", literally nobody would be going to those games..
Had a shower thought the other day...wonder how they came up with the name shampoo for something that cleans you hair. It honestly sounds more like the politically correct term for a shart. At least conditioner makes sense as it conditions hair. Sorry for the ramble...

One game playoff makes it tricky but I have no doubts that we can beat the cardinals in a series if it’s later on.

I don't know, man...they are blistering red hot right now. I realize that they are probably going to come off the torrid pace of winning they are on, but I think uncle mo is a bigger factor in baseball than any other sport. And the Dodgers have seemed too tight or too loose (can't figure out which) all year.

SIAP, but On3 updated their rankings. Updated top 300. Just one added.

Chas Nimrod - 4* ranked 210.

"Chas Nimrod gained consideration as we were assembling the initial On300 release, but just missed the cut. In going back and reevaluating the wide receiver group, we felt like the Bentonville (Ark.) product has a strong case for inclusion.

Nimrod is a long-strider with fluidity and route-running skills. He also shows the ability to locate, track and adjust to the ball. There’s a natural polish to his game as a receiver. Nimrod also has solid athletic markers with a 11.18 second 100-meter time. He joins fellow Tennessee wide receiver commit Marquarius White within the On300, making for a strong pass catching duo in the Vols’ class."

I’m expecting that shift in mo to happen at any time…. The Dodgers are still going to win over 100 games even with any issues.
