That's the game they're playing.Because there's no reason to cry and throw a temper tantrum on Twitter, that's why. No one gives a **** about how he feels, but yet he chooses to complain about it on Twitter. He wants to talk about hurting recruiting, well what about him basically talking **** about our coaches and making them look/sound bad? That hurts recruiting as well, no?
Don't complain about something when you're basically hurting "recruiting" yourself by talking **** about our coaches and how they run things.
If you give them access and make it easy for them to generate content and you're their best friend. But if you give them too much access there might be information you don't want out.
If you close down access to keep some information in, making it harder for them to generate content - they'll complain, generate negative content, blackmail for more info, etc and make you look bad.
A month ago they were all singing praises about Heupel's media policies and how open he was and allowing more players to interview. Now he's "hurting fans and recruiting" by limiting practice access before a big game.
Someone's being two-faced, and I don't think its Heupel. Good journalists work harder and still generate good content when access gets limited for periods of time. They don't throw fits.
