Yeah, because we have nothing to work on. There is no value in running our offense at all against a live defense.

So, you would have hired Schiano. You probably thought Todd Raleigh was a solid hire, too.

I’m still optimistic on Heupel. I will say this though we won’t win like we want to if we don’t upgrade talent. Overall I think Hooker played well and he should be our guy going forward. Milton should 100% be the backup guy from here on out idgaf what they do I practice. Hooker played much better in live action that Milton has. I think Heupel can be good here. I’m not going to 100% buy in and say “oh he’s the guy” cause I’ve done that too many times and been burned. We just need stability and I think at worst Heupel can get us to being respectable. I’m encouraged with what I’ve seen there were a few key plays that totally changed the game and the depth wore down over time.

I’m all in on Heupel and plan to be for the next 5 years

Yeah, deff need transfers that have potential or can start immediately. I don’t trust any of the incoming guys to make an impact next year.

Two 4* in the portal but no playing time. Maybe take a shot at them? (Dontae Lucas (inside) and Kai Leon Robert (OT)

Yeah at this point I’m not looking for “the one.” I’m just wanting someone who can stabilize us and get us to respectability.

I understand that but it looks like to me it’s Hooker 1 and they will keep trying with Milton 2…… I have been sugarcoating it bc I don’t feel like we should talk too harshly about guys that have decided to be Vols…. I also believe that you don’t know at what point it may click with an individual player…. That being said, my person said Bailey sucks and he is very far behind the other two guys and he felt that he was behind Mauer…… He has been very inaccurate…. Can’t hit the sideline routes not is he very accurate when throwing deep and you might as well forget all the RPO and read option stuff that we like to run….. Point is that a great QB is not walking through door….. it’s going to be struggle this year with having to rely on Hooker or Milton to get it done.

I hope so but will have to see it on the field before trusting how good that unit can be.

I think we split one off the next two., We need 6 wins but I think we come up just a little short. I would love to be wrong though.

The clock management before half was awful. It seemed as if JH was coaching like he had only 1 TO. Saving a few seconds was needed and it’s really discouraging to see that poor of clock management from a guy that’s been a head coach before

Heupel said they really didn’t want to play Milton tonight.

I found that interesting.

Didn’t look like hooker was hurt that badly- probably a neck or maybe even a concussion.
