It would but it's not likely to happen. Realistic option we can hope for is a serviceable qb and keep a staff together long enough to build continuity and win a couple we shouldn't over the next 2 to 3 years and chip away. When looking ahead at the season during fall practice, all I had was hope that Milton could be fixed and that we could get lucky with injuries for once..
Both those hopes are ground to dust. I like this staff, and I like the fight in this team. I have a lot of hope for the future 3-4 years down the road, but the next two years are going to he rough unless Heupel can find him a really good QB somewhere...
A really good QB would hide a lot of the problems.
Rather rely on a back up from a top 10 school (potentially) then a high school 3 star. Just meAlso, a lot of people are putting a lot of stock in the portal, and thats a mistake imo. Most of the guys transferring arent playing where they are for a reason. Take Turnage and Mitchell for example one doesnt play and the other is average depth at best. Only the top schools are going to get the difference makers.
Naw. We were screwed no matter what in that scenario. Schiano would have been a 5-7 hire
Milton's good at hitting grandma in the second row. The receivers don't even try anymore because they know on outside the hash routes that need loft that they cannot jump that high.
Heup is wasting on a lot of time and reps on him. Hooker is the #1, move HB into #2 and move on. Might win some games if he will.
I'm sorry, you are correct. Heupel sucks, Tennessee sucks. We should make you the AD and HCBut how many offensive gurus have sooo many “stinker”
Games as JH??
The guy simple can’t score points against the elite SEC defenses. It’s really eye opening if you guys were willing to take your orange colored glasses off and go look at his results
Not sure many felt our season hinged on the UF game. Most believe it hinges on anyone not named UF and UGA in the east in hopes of bowling… the extra practices are yuge…Jimmy Callaway ruined the season.
As crappy as our QBs are, the receivers are just as bad at catching the ball...compounding the problem. The scheme is good..we just have to wait till Heupel gets the players to execute it. It really is that simple. I think Banks also gets the most out of what he has to work with.It would but it's not likely to happen. Realistic option we can hope for is a serviceable qb and keep a staff together long enough to build continuity and win a couple we shouldn't over the next 2 to 3 years and chip away.
If we get a bowl ban I'm afraid the transfer portal dries up. I think recruiting gets more difficult too, which is why I'm extremely concerned with our current level of recruiting. Bottom line is Heupel is going to have to develop some players and count on scheme to try and keep up.
