Milton's good at hitting grandma in the second row. The receivers don't even try anymore because they know on outside the hash routes that need loft that they cannot jump that high.

Heup is wasting on a lot of time and reps on him. Hooker is the #1, move HB into #2 and move on. Might win some games if he will.

It's like Milton is exactly who the Michigan fans told us he was. Fancy that? I give Heupel the benefit of the doubt because you want to give the player who has the highest upside the best chance to take the job, but when that isn't happening it's time to cut losses and find another route. I think we see Hooker as #1 moving forward.

The Florida game has finally transcended to where I put the Alabama game now - it’s gotten so lopsided I don’t even feel the rivalry anymore.

I’m surprisingly indifferent about losing to them.

I still hate them and want to beat them - I just realize the talent gap is so tremendous that it’s going to take a while to get to that point. There’s no sense wasting emotions getting all bent out of shape about the outcomes right now.

There were some good moments in that game and some stuff we can build on. Guys played hard and never quit, which counts for something!

Go Vols!

I suspect the transfer portal will begin to dry up for us, as far as players who can come in and make an impact. I feel we lose more than a handful at the end of the season ourselves.

I disagree, we are missing the equivalent of a recruiting class of depth and starting players, we aren't going to resemble an Ole Miss, closer to a Kentucky.

I like Heupel, and feel like he could have been the guy if we'd hired him instead of Pruitt. I'm not sure he can survive these expectations given the lack of talent and our challenges recruiting players. We and he are in a very difficult position.
Very well said

I told y'all all summer that the inevitable injuries were going to make a big difference this year. If we win 5 this year it will be amazing at this point. After UGA and Bama we will be playing walk-ons.

It must be exhausting to have such a constantly negative outlook.
I agree the realities of the challenges we are facing are very negative. I've not lost hope, but I'm being realistic about the state of the program. We have to stay the course and get through the next 3 to 5 years, it was always going to be a 3 to 5 year rebuild and still is.

Tiyon should be 1a and start going forward...

Flowers and Tank were both terrible today. Should start allowing Charles and McDonald to get more run.

Hate that we can't play Banks and Mitchell more snaps. Our LBs were constantly out of position but the lack of depth is gross.

Oline actually played okay against a good Florida front. We out gained them in the first half and actually hit a deep ball.

We can't afford any injuries so the staff will have their hands full going forward trying to manage everything.

We can't drop layups. Period.

We still can't rush the passer and I still hate we play a big DE on too many obvious passing situations.

I still think we can get to 6 wins with this team.

That last paragraph just shouldn’t even be a concern. I realize it is but it is utter foolishness that our fanbase would drive someone away at this point. I kind of hope the fanbase goes away and gives him space. It’s going to be 4 to 6 years before he (or anyone) is going to have a roster that can make noise in the East.

There is plenty and I mean plenty of proof that the CJH offense doesn’t work against defenses like we saw today. Spare me the we need a QB Bs as that proof includes lots of data with an NFL QB at Mizzu.

The facts are this offense hasn’t worked in the SEC and I’d bet my ass it’s not going to work. 14 pts is about all that man Averages against good teams.

He was doing his damndest to pad Those stats at the end with those starters in the game like he did against those awful teams where Drew Lock threw 7 TDs to make that resume look better. Damn him for risking those kids at the end.

Those padded stats don’t mean much when you can’t muster more than what we saw tonight.

THE SYSTEM doesn’t work!!!

But that is a hard f*****g pill to swallow when Pittman is beating A&M in year two with f****** Arkansas.

Pittman has a full 85-man, scholarship roster. He is also one of the gurus of the OLine (although some here might not agree). He went after, and hired, really good coordinators especially the DC. A great HC hires great coordinators.

Yep, as I said earlier, we are a walking triage unit.
When looking ahead at the season during fall practice, all I had was hope that Milton could be fixed and that we could get lucky with injuries for once..

Both those hopes are ground to dust. I like this staff, and I like the fight in this team. I have a lot of hope for the future 3-4 years down the road, but the next two years are going to he rough unless Heupel can find him a really good QB somewhere...

A really good QB would hide a lot of the problems.
