The Official CoronaZoneVirus Thread

My mom and I have both had COVID, and both of us are in the high risk group. Y'all know all the crap I've been through, and my mom is 72 with COPD. When all this started, I thought if either of us got it, we'd probably be goners, just based off of what was being said. But we both, by the grace of God, survived. So it's weird when when I read about people who at least appear to have been in far better health succumb to this damn thing. It's just so random to how it affects different people. There is no rhyme or reason it appears.

That's what is weird I know a 95 year old that survived it and a 39 year old that died from it and he was fine got sick and went fast.

I had been apprehensive about posting the names of either of the twins on here.
But this is good news from today (and his name is on the WJHL news).
I have not received an update on the other twin recently.
Please continue to pray for the boys, their family, and our school family. We had a couple of students' tests come back positive today and did more quarantines. Thanks.

I think they must be sending him to the section of Bristol Med Center where they sent my wife to get her off the vent.

Here is the story: Local teen released from hospital after being on ventilator for 44 days | WJHL | Tri-Cities News & Weather

Damon Thibodeaux escaped death row for a crime he didn't commit, but died of COVID-19

Thibodeaux, who became a long-haul trucker after restarting his life, was on the road in early August when he landed in a Jacksonville, Fla., hospital with COVID — a few days after getting his first dose of a vaccine against the disease. After three weeks in and out of intensive care, he was expecting to be released.Bro, I'm ready to get out of this place and come home," he told his younger brother, David Thibodeaux, on the evening of Sept. 2.

This is why I haven't gotten the shot. My doctor has advised me not to. Mainly because I have asthma and it could cause severe problems for me. He says that because of my blood type and because I have asthma, I am less susceptible to catching the covid. But I still mask up and carry hand sanitizer everywhere I go.

I have asthma, high blood pressure, and am a fatass. I had no issues but I got Pfizer. I don't know what to say about being less susceptible due to Asthma. Blood type may have something to do with it but I felt I couldn't depend on anecdotal evidence.

I don't think it was Bailey's. If it was TC's, it should be in the obit.
So I read that Tim Cable had a son that passed away in 1990 or so. I don’t think I knew anything about that. I still think someone’s kid died after I worked there, which was 2005.

I did not know about the latter one, but there might have been another one. Yeah, 1990 was about right on that. I guess you were pretty young then.

My son's cousin who gave him his lab she was 27 years old and had 2 kids passed away with covid today. My neighbor who is a older man passed away from covid last week. It's getting close.

Sorry to hear, rocy. I will say prayers for the families for sure.
The twin who was not sent for rehab is not doing well at all (again).
It is very close for sure.
One of my 11th graders who had it was back at school today after about three weeks. She had bruises. She fell down the steps when she had it (said she suddenly could not walk).
I despise this illness.

I hate hearing that . My son's cousin had covid since August 12 and she was in and out of hospital and it turned into Pneumonia and she last post when she was in the hospital on September 12 soon after a vent and there was nothing they could do I feel bad for her kids and husband and parents. My neighbor went slow like that. The guy I worked with went fast he got it and a week and half later he was gone he was 39.

It seems there is no rhyme or reason to any of it.
Edit: I heard today that the twin who is still on ventilator has suffered from sleep apnea and other respiratory illnesses since he was a child. I did not know that until today.

I don't really consider it anecdotal when it comes from my doctor.
