Milton is the starter?.....lmao....why would you do that? Hasn't played In pretty much two games...coming off an ankle injury....so yeah let's start him at UF.
Because we’re going to lose big with Hooker. If Milton can actually connect with the deep ball this game we have a chance.

Exactly, the bad thing with Hooker is since he can’t stretch the field they will stack the box and play press man. They will be stacking the box for two reasons on Hooker, 1) he is a true running QB and 2) they don’t respect his arm.

Personal request for advice here. Keep in mind I’m 25, and my girlfriend is 23.

My grandma needs 24/7 care now so i might have to move in with her since I’m the only one out of her 4 kids and 10 grand kids willing to help her. Do you think they will let me out of my lease to live with her for medical circumstances? My girlfriend and honestly my primary concern is our sex life disappearing and that would put a strain on us for sure.. but at this point I’d rather the ole lady get fed up and leave than not do everything I can to keep my grandmother alive as long as possible.

Does your confidence in us go up or down if Milton starts over Hooker? We know where Bass will be on this. Does anyone feel worse?

I'm honestly just neutral. I think Hooker has played fairly well, but I can see the argument for stretching the field.

Ultimately, HH feels like the safe option. Milton is a boom/bust outcome imo, but jeez the confidence they have in him. I want to believe he's just a snap away, but I have to see it first.

You may be able to pay a fee to break the lease.

Is it even possible to load the box against our personnel sets? Maybe it is, but that would seem like a gift.
Florida plays Man Press, which would make it easy for them to stack the box. It would be a gift if they didn’t spy a LB or something… should be interesting to see. If they are bringing the blitz like they did against Alabama we are in trouble I guess is what I should of said. If we can’t get them to have to play timid….

I guess you are right though, Huepel would just play for the quick dump off to the TE or RB…. Hmm lol maybe Huepel is harder to scheme against than expected….

Take care of your grandmother bud. If your girlfriend has an issue with that, she's probably not a keeper.

I would feel better about Hooker if he didn’t cough the ball up in every game he has played this year…. You can’t do what he has done against teams like Florida regarding ball security.

Like you said Milton is “just one connection away” I mean seriously if he finally clicks…. You can’t stop that arm of his…. You just can’t. Plus it opens up runs like he did against Pitt they were so terrified he was going to connect on one of those deep balls he had all the room in the world to run.

I honestly don’t think it matters. Neither will have time for deep routes to set up.
Perhaps if Milton can throw a punt type pass in 2 seconds, maybe someone will have time to run underneath it.

Worse. I have no idea why anyone wants Milton other than his stature and he can launch the football. He literally can’t hit a long ball and hasn’t his entire time in college and people still want him. It blows my mind. But I also kind of want him to start so if he sucks, we can all move on from wanting him to be the QB. Also, I would gladly eat the biggest crow if he played well and we beat the Gators.

This ^. Same reasons I have posted several times. Want this mess over. Pick one after this game and play out the season.

Heup is trying to make lemonade out of lemons. Don't see it happening against UF, but will be very happy to eat my words and celebrate with everybody.

Our best hope was for it to be a trap game. It isn't. UF has everything to play for now that they know they can play with Bama and potentially run the table.

I hope he soon shows, definitively, whether or not he can be the man. It would suck to be playing him for the next 3 years, hoping the light comes on at some point.

There’s give and take with both. I agree that Milton is boom or bust probably, but I think Hooker gives you guaranteed turnovers (whether that be sack fumbles or bad INTs). And I know Milton hasn’t been perfect protecting the ball either. Hooker is the better runner, but can’t push the ball down the field like Milton.

Having said that, Milton is no good if he can’t hit wide open guys downfield. I think Milton has the best skill set for how Heupel wants to play, especially against a UF D that will likely stack the box and play man press.

We run alot of bubbles and other screens while stretching the field. They may regret that if we can hit them

I don't understand where all the talk about Milton's ability to push the ball downfield comes from. Has he shown that ability? Is it his potential that gives the impression that he can? Hooker has proven to be better at it, so far, and Milton showed no signs of getting closer before the injury.

One of the other professors in my department, who is a good friend, is a Florida grad. She's a real sweet person and not mean but she wants me and my wife to come over to watch the game with her and her husband (who is a UGA fan). I kinda want to but also am afraid I'll make an arse of myself, because usually during the Florida game I make up swear words. Thoughts?

Don’t.
Bad idea.
Keep friendship by declining that invite.

Send her something nice after we win. 🤠

He did it plenty at Michigan (their receivers actually caught the ball when they got the opportunity) also, he got hurt and was never able to get a rhythm maybe he would of hit his next deep pass…. Who knows….

Hooker had the same issue, which makes me believe it is partly our receivers having issues. It took him what 3 try to hit his guy until he adjusted.

Maybe Milton just didn’t realize how much he needed to adjust. Who knows. I mean before when got hurt he had started throwing the ball different trying to gauge his receivers and still overthrew a receiver by 2 yards.

He honestly just needs more attempts to get it down and he didnt get that chance against Pitt
