Hopefully it'll start working tomorrow night. I only worry about it being something she's never taken, how her body will react. Usually, her urine starts clearing up the day she starts the other. This being a one dose, I'm not positive it'll be the same.

So is this inpatient so they can monitor her?

Well crap, they couldn't finish because she had a reaction. They stopped and gave her steroids, then tried to keep going, but it didn't work. They're hoping she got enough in her to hold off the infection for a week or so, then they'll likely go back to the 4 week plan.
