Let's do this. Someone much smarter than me, get this thing rolling. We'll all contribute to it.
Absolutely. Print some t-shirts to give to the players to wear that have the Volnation.com logo. Simple.@Freak - set this up. Tennessee Volunteers 2022 Recruiting Class sponsored by VolNation! We'll just donate to through the website and the monies can be distributed evenly upon arriving on campus when they agree to become a VolNation social media ambassador. One time payment distribution requiring minimum of one social media post advertising the VolNation.com.
Fan funded NIL opportunity!
I'm being generous wit Freak's time of course, but I really think something as simple as this model would work.
So, the question, if there were monthly/annual NIL sponsorship options, how much do you honestly think could be raised? If we said even a two thousand fans were willing to donate 10/month, that's 240K per year - divide that by a 25 man signing class - that's 9,600 per recruit upon enrolling in school (or 7,500 per recruit in a 32 man class if you want to include transfers).

Supposedly they ran their proposal through the compliance department at the university, so that’s another layer of complexity. It’s a good idea... but it’s much easier said then done for sure. When money is involved you usually want a full time staff, or at minimum a dedicated part time/volunteer staff, to handle issues, improvements, implementations, etc. You’d most likely also be paying a third party developer tool like Stripe to handle payments, which in turn costs money to use. Red tape around payments, compliance, banking to hold the funds, taxes, etc are all stuff to figure out as well.
Just lots of variables that goes into it that may be a lot for one person or even a small part time team to handle. If it was something that @Freak truly considered I’d definitely volunteer some time to help with any software development time needed.
As long as It’s a win@Freak will you be uploading the game? I’m working and can’t record in on YT TV apparently
There’s a Texas message board similar to this one where they set up a crowd-sourced-from-their-posters sponsorship of the tight ends group they call “Burnt Ends.” The guys who run the site and organized the project met with the group to drop their bags. I think the Whataburger bags were a reference to our previous regime.
