I love how just getting bowl eligible is the new bar. This place is comedy at its finest. Hope nobody here plays the stock market. Y’all waiting on TOPS 🚀 🌙
😂😂😂

I don’t like it any more than you do, but setting the bar any higher than bowl eligibility going into this year is/was totally unrealistic regardless of who the HC is.

Looked like a throw away . Sure hope so because it looked like it could have been a pick 6 defender was not fooled enough.
That was not a throw away lol, I think he thought his receiver was going to come back. But either way he launched that one way off target lol 😂

After the last decade and a half, 70 or 80 thousand is reasonable.

It's time to stop blaming fans for this University's crap.
I’m not blaming the fans for a poorly run football program…. I am blaming the fans for embarrassing us by allowing Pitt to feel like they took over neyland

who tf cares? either way it would be the other teams ball, cause one turns it over or we take the idiot that throws it 40 ft over the receivers head.

Keep trouting Milton out there and defenses will start playing Prevent converage

That’s what JG did. You can’t give the other team points on offense.

BG played deep and we gashed them with the run. Your point wasn’t valid.

I'd rather someone try to make a play then trout Milton out there ever again.
I think Hooker earned his shot….. just saw a lot that makes me feel like it won’t turn out well for us. He may look entirely different if he knows that he is the guy though.

I agree with this. If Heupel is the right coach, you'll see improvement. My biggest question is how you define improvement. Improvement will be a change of trajectory before it's a change of results.
I agree. For example is does Hooker become a more effective passer or does Milton improve his footwork and pocket awareness while improving deep ball. Do receivers do a better job gaining separation and does OLine stick with blocks better. Do the young guys start earning playing time.

He is throwing what he’s been taught to read. It’s not all what the staff wants him to do. In man coverage, our offense goes deep.

Milton hasn’t thrown an INT yet, so my previous statement still stands. The offense runs smoother with him, but it’s up to the coaches to figure it out.
We struggled to move the ball before Milton left the game. Hooker moved the ball much better.

I'm not a coach but there's likely a reason the opponents go man, because they know they can force us to waste a down or two..... The tape is there, they know Milton can't hit those passes. Hell I've seen him throw at least 10 and he's only hit once. Why not force a throw you know goes your way 9 out of 10 times?

I just don’t think you can use many of those numbers in a completely different offense. Speculation, but I’m not sure Milton throws the last pick that Hooker does. IMO, Hooker scares me more throwing than Milton does right now.

I'm not sure how that's even possible...you're essentially crucifying Hooker for a single play if that's the case. Cause even if you remove the different offenses ya got one guy that's 16/22 72.7% 193 Yards 8.8 Y/A and 2 TDs/1 INT vs a guy that's 18/35 51.4% 190 yards 5.4 Y/A and 1 TD/0 INTs. So far it appears with Milton it's go long or go short only. They don't seem to trust him to throw anything else except deep balls in man or wide boundary screens in zone. To me the one thing ya don't want in a hurry up offense is incompletions, kills the clock and negates the entire advantage of the offense you're running.

Man people really going off on fans for not showing up. We have sucked for over a decade and still do not look like a good team. This is a 6-6 at best team and yet people are going off on fans for spending time with their families and enjoying their weekends. This is craziness. How about you blame the administration for taking this fanbase for granted and serving us s*** for years. I don’t blame a single person who saves their hard earned money from going to see the Vols right now.

Some folks act as though every vol fan lives down Chapman highway with nothing else to do on a Saturday.

Fan blaming is total BS. Fans have filled that stadium through the last two decades of $&¡7 and mediocrity at best. In fact, we’ve been more tolerant than any SEC fanbase outside of Vandy or the state of Mississippi would have been. But that could only be sustained for so long In the face of perpetual screwups but the UT higher ups. I don’t like it anymore that anyone else, but 100% not the fans’ fault.

I don't blame fans for not coming to games, but unreasonable expectations from fans is destructive. Expecting a 3-7 Pruitt team decimated by defections to be great after 2 games is unreasonable. And yet here we are, with "fans" already talking about Heupel not being the guy. And yes, that does matter.

don't reply to him, you're wrong, he is right.

Yes people will show up if we win 10 + games but don’t want to be part of building the program.
The baseball thing is a good example…. Most people barely knew we had a baseball program but when we won enough…. Those people started getting tickets and knocking the ones that had been supporting them the whole time if they didn’t have season tickets.

Sports work like any other business. If you build up a lot of goodwill for your brand, people will keep buying even when you’ve had a few flops. But you can only trade on that for so long before it dries up.

Baseball had no goodwill built up. It has a little now though. If we aren’t good next year, people will put up with it for a little while, but will stop attending if we don’t turn it around quickly.

Football had a mountain of goodwill in reserve. That’s why people have kept coming through a decade or garbage. But it’s gone now, and that’s why I believe only winning will cure the attendance problem.
