Coronavirus (No politics)

Got the 2nd dose of Pfizer about 2 hours ago. When do the side effects kick in?

The only thing I'm feeling now is that "woke" feeling 😄

My wife got it in the afternoon on a Sat. Pretty much knocked her out on Sunday but she was back to work on Mon.

I had Moderna in the morning. Made me really fatigued with a slight headache by dinner time. Went to bed a couple hours earlier than normal then woke up the next morning and went for a run like I never had it.

You've discovered the secret that vaccines are designed to turn people into woke librals, but keep it quiet or else they'll come for you

I was just in Publix, there was this one maskless guy standing in the middle of an aisle on his phone saying to someone he doesn’t feel well and needs to get tested for Covid. What a selfish uncaring idiot.
Actually that's great. You were actually out of the house instead of lecturing and memeing the rest of us as to how to live our lives.

I have to give this lady a lot of credit. She was listening to a lot of B.S. but she legit took the time to hear reason and think it through.

‘I just can’t go through this again’: Why mom changed her mind on COVID vaccine

It really hit me when a friend recommended that I write down the names of everybody I know who’s died from COVID-19. Within two minutes I had 21 names of people from tiny little Irwin County and neighboring Ben Hill. She then said to write down the name of everybody I know who died from the vaccine. Crickets. Zip. Zero.
I’d say everyone on here could walk through this exercise and come up with more or less the same result.

To give some optimism to the situation before everyone goes back to doing a great job of convincing each other to change their minds, this thing is slowing down big time. I would say peaked or close to peaking. Below are cases in the US:

August Week 1, 7-day average: 110,000 cases

August Week 2, 7-day average: 131,000 cases (21,000 case increase)

August Week 3, 7-day average: 149,000 cases (18,000 case increase)

August Week 4, 7 day average: 157,000 cases (8,000 case increase).

Very good trend. 985F520A-6D63-447A-B62A-687EF565B019.jpeg985F520A-6D63-447A-B62A-687EF565B019.jpeg

I was like a lot of people; I had questions and concerns about the vaccine b/c of how quickly it had been produced. I didn't take it when it was offered at work. I wanted to talk to my doctor about it. He's the type that very rarely takes any medication unless it's absolutely necessary, very careful about what he eats, all of that. When I asked him, he said, "absolutely. No reason not to take it really."

Ended up getting Moderna. On the first dose, I felt almost euphoric the evening I took it, other than my arm being a little sore. This was on a Wednesday. Thursday, I was miserable. Fever, chills, headache, and my arm was super, super sore. But by Friday, I was normal and back at work. Second dose, same exact thing.

This was in March when I finished. I know I've been exposed to Covid more than once since then, but haven't had any symptoms come up.

Are vaccines perfect? No. Can they 100% stop this virus from spreading? No. And should they be mandated? Absolutely not. But it seems to me that it's keeping people out of the hospital (for the most part), and to me, that must count for something.

Take the daggum shot.

Vaccine isn’t a vaccine, it’s a therapeutic that is losing efficacy. Doesn’t help me. Could hurt me. My natural immunity is better. No thanks

I took the vaccine, but I believe that it's a personal decision. I won't be taking the inevitable booster shots that will be given every year. I was fooled by my work that I would not have to wear a mask if I got the shot only for them to reverse that decision afterwards.
