So using those numbers....

527 / 3350000 =

0.0015731343

Or .157 %

Or less than two tenths of one percent.

Did I do that right?
Yup.
But I’m not a fan of percentages. People like to twist those to suit their needs. Raw numbers tell the story

I hear ya.

I think a raw percentage, like the example above, is a valid raw number. When folks start using relative percentages, i.e. "x is up 75% since St. Vitus Day" that things tend to get twisted around agendas.

The fact, using your numbers, that the percentage of breakthrough cases is less than two tenths of a percent should tell us all that those highlighting that vaccinated people still get the Rona are truly just trying to pick the fly sh!t out of the pepper.

I love that

That’s a vivid metaphor! 😳😂

The link with the actual numbers instead of percentages for the state of Tennessee is in one of the Covid threads. I posted it this morning.

Here is what was in the link you posted. It appears that there have been 21,137 breakthrough cases. Even at 21K, the percentages vaccinated vs non-vaccinated is still very glaring.

That’s actually the 2nd source I posted and called more accurate.
If you concede that there are many times the original number who tested at home and are not reported then the point remains 3.35 million vaccinated vs 100K breakthrough cases results in 416 hospitalization and 137 deaths clearly proves the effectiveness of the vaccine.
