similar legislation was passed by outlegislatureAs probably most know, Tennessee is one of the states that has passed legislation that masks can’t be mandated. Now our county schools are eat up with Covid. I’ve got two of my work kids positive and one quarantined for 10 days. No, filling their spots is the least of this. These kids are not just feeling mild to no symptoms.
Are these kids over weight ?I just got an update on one of the twins.
Please continue your prayers.

tl;drThey outlawd remote learning and now it's back I guess 150 covid cases will do that. There is a real problem people vaccinated are going to the hospital with covid now. So much for it being gone.
That's why I don't say much here, it's pretty much political for everyone in their heads. Most on the right thinks everyone is a sheep for taking it, and most on the left thinks everyone is an uneducated trumper if you don't. I've seen it in the comments even on Volnation. There are people with legit health concerns about taking it, but if you don't, then you're automatically "an uneducated right wing nut". There's folks who aren't just believing what the tv says, and they're really worried and take the shot, but then labeled as "sheep" by the right. Myself, I think both stances are stupid, and in people's heads because that's what they watch, or read on social media. I know people who posted "trump is trying to kill us" when he was in office and pushing a vaccine, but now are all for it. I also know people who were for it when it was trump, but now call people sheep for taking it. Both sides try to act like their stance is because they care, but you follow the conversation, and see their political stance come out. If it's truly your passion, either side, then trump, Biden, sheep, etc wouldn't come out. Not directing this to nobody in here, just saying why some of us don't mention it much. I know it's real, I know some are really worried, I know some are legit concerned about the vaccine, but get tired of seeing it made political, and people being hypocrites and changing their opinion because of politics. I know tldr: I have a cousin in the hospital in Chattanooga right now, and he's having it rough, and he's done everything to not catch it. I also have a friend who is fighting it, wore masks, but no shot. I care about both of them, regardless of what they did, or didn't do. Sorry, end whining.tl;dr
We are running a little over 1/3 testing positive or quarantined (all week).
A lot of the teachers have children in elementary school and are having to stay home with their children (alternating days with their spouses in taking a day off) if their children are in quarantine.
The school systems in NOVA do not start back until after labor day. By statute, because of tourism and the influence of NOVA politicians, all schools starting back before Labor Day have to give two school days off for Labor Day Break now (with one being Labor Day). We are out next Friday and Labor Day (could also have been Labor Day and the following Tuesday).
I think Northam and his allies in NOVA will shut it all down once those school systems in that part of the state have to deal with what we are dealing with right now. That is just my opinion.
One thing that sucks is how all this has become politicized and polarizing. "Sucks" is too kind; it's sickening.
Edit: on the "tourism" part...last "chance" for vacations to Williamsburg / Bush Gardens...those politicians with an interest there
