Coronavirus (No politics)

Coach Heupel didn’t say anything except “they’re working” on an acceptable number. Media reported it to be 85%.

I recall Sankey saying teams with 85% won’t have to forfeit games but that was a month+ ago. Vaccinated players are not supposed to be subject to contact tracing but alot has changed since then
The contact tracing is still true as of August 11th...subject to change of course

The 85% thing has been erased. No meaning to it any longer.

Down here in Alabama all the news is Alabama and Auburn. I hear Alabama football is over 90% and as of Sunday night on The Zone (Birmingham ABC tv) it seemed like Auburn was at around 60%. Auburn coach Bryan Harsin and DC Derek Mason have been missing from practice due to them testing positive for Covid. How are fans going to react when games are forfeited due to players testing positive was a question they ask? I'd hate to forfeit a game we should win. So what's the news on the Vols being vaccinated?
Vq said...I think last week...we were passing 85% at that time and more were planning to get it. Not sure why the delay, but there it is.

That being said I think it should be individual choice. If you don’t want it that’s fine if you do that’s also fine but don’t dare get on a soap box if you get it and scream why wasn’t more done
well I think the full body condom from Naked Gun...

sorry shes having to go through that. my pals in ER are having a tough time also.

Although if shes in ICU she's prob seeing the sickest of sick. From what ive read 98-99% of those dying are not vaxxed.

yea, she’s in the covid ward so unfortunately if your there it’s not good. She’s gone as far to say if you go on the vent there’s not much they can do.

dated a girl while she was in RT school. during clinicals they learned intubation. it is a medical procedure. people can easily choke on their own blood. i told this to my unvaxxed buddy last week. He was vaxxed within a week. if you're in ICU it's last ditch.

its real deal.

Don’t get me wrong they’ve got my respect and I didn’t mean to sound morbid but when she broke it down like that it got real and quick.

Good for him. It takes courage for a certain kind of man (or woman) to do some actual reflection and introspection and then publicly backpedal on their previous convictions. Sucks that he had to find out the hard way. I hope he pulls through and I hope he keeps on telling his whole social circle to get the shot. Maybe some will be more amenable if hearing it straight from the horse’s mouth.

She's definitely didn’t believe she needed the vaccine or thought she would end up in the hospital, but she deserves some props for finally urging people to get the vaccine.

Great article Bass, thanks for sharing.
It’s great for people who have already had COVID.

Exert from your article
but infectious disease experts emphasized that this vaccine and others for COVID-19 nonetheless remain highly protective against severe disease and death. And they caution that intentional infection among unvaccinated people would be extremely risky. “What we don’t want people to say is: ‘All right, I should go out and get infected, I should have an infection party.’” says Michel Nussenzweig, an immunologist at Rockefeller University who researches the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 and was not involved in the study. “Because somebody could die.”

The researchers also found that people who had SARS-CoV-2 previously and then received one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine were more highly protected against reinfection than those who once had the virus and were still unvaccinated.”

Man I work in a building where vaccinated people are getting it just as easily as unvaccinated. Vrabel and Tannehill from the Titans were vaccinated and got it. It’s just a crazy thing
I actually contracted the Delta Variant...3 months after my vaccination?

However, I had the symptoms off and on since before my vaccination. It took me 4 days to get over it...more or less. But how long did I really have it? 1 week or 5 months?
And there's still no cure. So what's to stop this thing from "flaring" up everytime your immune system gets weakened? Did you know the government doesn't require a RETEST to resume responsibility (work) after getting a positive test AFTER 10 days quarantine? Why...? Because you'd just as likely test positive again. And you could effectively never go back to work if that system was in place.

Truthfully, I think the powers that be are tired of losing money. Remember last year, when Saban magically got a negative test? Then you saw him all game long less than his normal self. He had it...

It's not going anywhere. So I think you won't see a repeat of last year. You'll just have a bunch of kids playing games while having the virus...
