Not to derail too much but venues are just making their decisions based on not wanting to get closed down again if the cases continue to climb. The states with governors unlikely to close things down will come out and say "no proof of anything" and the states with governors that will close down things will come out saying "proof of vaccination required" etc. Some venues may choose to do it themselves either way. I know a lot of local music venues are requiring it, and it's honestly no different than a "show your ID" to get in situation.

if it were some thing that was say, on emergency status then I get the hesitancy. I have to credit 45, even he came out and said get it. Listen, this is far beyond politics. This is no joke now. Its time to stop name calling and do whats right, its FDA aporoved now folks.

So if I have a religious reason to not take a medicine a company can refuse to do business with me? I believe the SCOTUS has recently set precedent that would not allow a company to do that by forcing small businesses to make cakes and flower arrangements for same sex marriages when that clearly goes against their constitutionally protected Freedom of Religion. Again, I don't care if a company wants to start requiring vaccines but they should expect the backlash and massive reduction in revenue that will follow that decision.

It’s not a joke but it’s not as serious as you and others want it to be. It’s just like any other virus. Live with it. Stay inside forever if you’re scared.

I mean honestly idgaf if you do or don't want to get the vaccine if I'm honest.

But I don't want to hear about it one way or another. I told friends and family early on, both sides of the fence too. You do whatever you want to do, but don't feed me BS to try and justify your decision. I'm a logical person, I'll pull up stats or data and review it that's what I base my decisions on. So ya don't wanna get a shot then don't, but if you're going to try and justify it by stating a false narrative of "just as many vaccinated are catching it" then I'll pull up the data from a credible source and share it. I still don't care if you do or don't get the shot BUT I'll still point out the false narrative either way.

Here is whats going to happen with vaccines. This time next year +80% of the people will be vaccinated. Employers will start requiring it not out of social outcry but due to increased premiums their insurance companies will require for the non- vaccinated they employee. Law suites will be filed and the fact that vaccines are required by schools, the military and if you travel abroad now and the fact that vaccines are required for certain jobs already that will be their final reasoning for the final ruling. Going to a ball game will fall well below having a job in priorities and reasons for finally getting a shot.

I had covid. Still have antibodies. Should I get the vax? Why? What is the vax going to give me that my natural infection did not?

What would you have them do? There may not be ANY revenue if they cant field a working force. CIP, Ballad has had to bring in National Guard to help staff.

I sincerely doubt businesses will see that big a dropoff to warrant changing their operations.

SiL had it first. He's vaxxed and it was milder, although he was pretty sick for a several days. Daughter is not vaxxed and it's been rougher. They upped the meds (inhaler, I think) to help lungs, and she's mending now. Kids were cranky, but did better than parents. Daughter is now reconsidering the wisdom of not being vaccinated.

Once you get the shot, you won't get covid...
You may get covid but your symptoms will be minimal...
A booster shot may be needed...
The covid test is not giving false positives...
The covid test may test falsely but low chance...
The covid test reported a huge percentage of false positives...


The flu has nearly disappeared.... (yeah right)

According to pharmacists, Docs, and infectious disease nurses ive spoken too, yes. Antibodies alone may not be enough.

Guy I call on had it once. Had antibodies, and 2nd time around lost all his teeth and hair. Several surgeries were required on Kidneys and Liver. The point of the vaccine, is to reduce risk of getting serious infection.

The vaccine is supposed to have efficacy rates in the upper 90%. If it works so well then why are so many vaxxed people getting covid? Or are the vaccines just not as effective as first suspected and then it comes back to why should I get it.

We feel the same. If you got the vax and wear 14 masks, good for you! But leave the rest of us who don’t alone. If your vax protects you, don’t worry about me

You have to be careful…. Even credible sources have been putting out questionable data during this time.
