Coronavirus (No politics)

i don't think printing off your own negative test result and showing it to an employee of a private business would be illegal. you're not getting anything. the only liability you might have is if you infect people and it can be proven. forging a CDC vaccination card is probably illegal.

Exactly ... slippery slope we're headed down.

I thought your question was in jest. Vaccination status doesn't have anything to do with committing a crime. The 5th Amendment doesn't apply, but you have the right not to answer the question.

Some places may take an unanswered question as "not being vaccinated" however. Employers for certain physical positions ask for health information all of the time, so employees gladly turn over that info when they want the position.

I am just analyzing the situation for you, and it's not always my personal thoughts on the issue.

Ya the only right that might come into play is privacy, but there's so much precedent for requiring proof of vaccination status that it'd be hard to make the case for that. Heck I couldn't go to UT if I hadn't proven I had a whole host of vaccines, and I couldn't have gotten a job without proving I wasn't doing drugs. It would take some kind of lawyer to convince a judge/jury that the covid vaccine is radically different from those scenarios. I don't like it, but I do think companies have the right to do it.

I get what you're saying, and what I was getting at, when you said yes we can plead the 5th if we're being questioned on a crime ... the direction things are going, not being vaccinated may be considered criminal.

But I'm a card carrying, tin foil hat wearing, full fledged member, conspiracy theorist.
It's all good on my end.

When it comes to spreading disease get over it. I'll show anyone a card showing I got pfizered up. Big deal.
Since you are so proud of your Pfizer just look up Albert Bourla who made the vaccination and is a veterinarian. You might not be so proud. But hey you can still get the boosters
"CEO of Pfizer, Albert Bourla, is an animal doctor.
He had the great idea of taking unused slaughter house animal innards and grinding them up into cattle feed, that led to the creation of Mad Cow Disease.

My biggest problem is that I had it and never showed a single symptom, therefore immune. OR, I've never had it and immune anyway. And I work a second job in a Bowling Center, at the front desk, and exposed to anything the public walks in with. And have never worn a mask on that job. And I'm 56. I don't need Uncle Sam on this.

If you want to tank your attendance then this is a great idea. People will sue as this is a clear violation of HIPPA laws.
Ya'll need to read and understand HIPPA laws better.

This is not a violation as you are sharing the information. Your medical provider can't share the information under HIPPA.

It's a complete farse. Are you telling me they have the resources to verify tens of thousands of proofs of vaccines over the course of an hour or two? To actually verify for that many people would take the entire day unless they have unlimited free labor.
I think verify here is a very loose.

I think it means do you have a paper with something on it that you can show at the gate - i think your blockbuster card will do.
