If you want to tank your attendance then this is a great idea. People will sue as this is a clear violation of HIPPA laws.
I’m not sure this is accurate. HIPAA restricts medical professionals from disclosing your health information without your consent. There are no medical professionals in this equation.

They didn't ban business or schools from mandating vaccine passports or did they? I thought I read that they banned the government from mandating them or requiring business to mandate them.
That's my understanding for Indiana as well, and UT is a government entity. Two of my kids go to IU southeast and they require a vaccination statement, but can't legally require proof per law. The statement of vaccination requirement was recently upheld by the supreme court.

Also, I just had to submit proof of vaccination to my employer in KY.

Technically correct. However, the state or authority requiring it assumes the position of being medical professionals when they mandate or legally require disclosure of vaccination and test status. It needs lots of legal challenges to flesh it out because the State of LA controls that state university and the state has medical professionals in their employment or contracted that are making the recommendation to mandate the vaccine or negative tests.

This stuff is ripe for some attorneys to get a hold of this when an employee refuses and gets fired and files a wrongful termination lawsuit.

We need the team to hit 85% vaccinated for no testing correct?
That was done away with it seems.

Here are the fall guidelines:

http://a.espncdn.com/sec/media/2021/SEC Task Force Recommendations August 2021.pdf

It reads as:

Vaxxed - no mask, no routine testing, tested if with symptoms though. Not considered "close contact".

Unvaxxed - mask, routine testing, and of course symptoms testing. Can be considered "close contact"

Applies to all teams, even 100% vaxxed ones.
