I pick option C - Biden is a moron.

He's totally mishandled this on almost every front. From leaving Americans and allies vulnerable to his comments to the press, he's screwed the pooch royally. There is no defense for this.

Im not offering a defense, just looking at an explanation. My two scenarios are in parallel with Biden being a moron.

This is stupid ^^^^
Optics?
There’s one one way to view it.
It’s a ****ing disaster.

Lol, stupid is thinking I'm toting Bidens water. Im just laughing at the clowns who suddenly give a sh*t that American foreign policy looks bad.

It’s sad how bad the partisan hacks will bend over for their political team. And they call the Trump guys cultists

Check yourself, Jxn is deflecting. I've not made any defense of how Biden has handled this sh*t show. I've merely pointed out that it's feigned outrage.

If this wasn’t an absolute cluster flub nobody would care. If you’re doing a good job then nobody notices what’s going on and we have parties on 9/11 because our troops are home. It might be a sign your president is doing a bad job when the British government holds him in contempt…..on the record.

I know what you’re saying. I’m calling ********. I have family in harms way and I’m pissed. My outrage isn’t “feigned” and the same that screwed up the withdrawal has the borders wide open inviting a terrorist attack on our soil. When that happens are you going to continue you blind devotion to Biden?

What was your family doing there or can you say? I spent a couple of years there.

Again, so what? Our guys are home and the tax coffers are now free to be waisted on other things. Nobody on the right cared for four years about the optics, now everyone is piled up on the fainting couch about the optics about people that the right has vilified for 20 years.

Suddenly compassion for a bunch of Muslims is the new hotness and we're supposed to believe it?

Blind devotion? I've said it was botched. I just don't care, so take your 'called bullsh*t' and shove it. To be clear, no matter how we left the Afghanistan, the Taliban filling the vacuum was always the final outcome. Trump saw to that in his capitulation 14 months ago.

So are you on the side that Biden got bad intel or ignored good intel?

Based on this it sounds like the former.
I honestly believe it's somewhere in the middle. I think the intelligence wasn't very good/realistic and Biden chose a high risk high reward option that completely melted down once the dominos began falling.

My biggest concern was that once it became clear he nor anyone in his administration got in front of it and communicated the situation effectively. It's been a pretty clear example of poor leadership. If this was the private sector this CEO would be relieved of duties.

If we followed trumps plan then nobody’s talking about it today.
It’s ****ing moronic to argue we should not have left. Nobody is saying that if anyone wants to “but trump” here the only thing they can say is “but Trump is right”.

Agreed. I'm trying to think of a single foreign policy blunder Trump had that was 10% of the mess this caused.

Someone help me.

Are the Taliban not terrorists?

Ask yourself, what makes the Taliban a terrorist group? How many attacks outside of their borders have they performed? Were they responsible for the 9-11 attacks? What were they doing prior to 9-11 in Afghanistan?

If you buy the official US Government propaganda, absolutely. They are "terrorists." And they've spent 20 years trying to hammer that narrative home to anyone who will listen. Of course, that very same government is trying to start the narrative that anti-vaxxers are potential terrorists, those who believe Biden stole the election are potential terrorists and those that walked inside the roped lines at the Capitol were domestic terrorists too.

I'm not even "but Trumping", it's not even debatable that he got the ball rolling. Hell, I'm glad he did - I'm just laughing at the sudden butthurt over the international and geopolitical optics that the same people mocked as irrelevant when their tribe was screwing the pooch. If you see that as some sort of "defense" for Biden then you're logic meter needs recalibration.

Your first remark is blatantly false or you are not current on the situation with troops on the ground probably in a more dangerous situation with this unpredictable administration.

So you think this is only about "optics"? Wow, where is the awareness?

Yes they're at least domestic terrorists. They use violence and fear to control weaker people. That's not a govt narrative, it's on live tv

What mess has this caused? Are us troops dead? Would the outcome of the Taliban taking over be different? Are we to suddenly believe the people of Afghanistan were blind sided or left ill prepared?

You think the Taliban is going to start sh*t while our guys are leaving? It's literally all they want.

Talk about awareness, use a little common sense.

Those were more tactical mistakes though. This is a strategic mistake that will have long lasting foreign policy damage.

So you don't believe we should have left? Or are you suggesting that the way we left will hurt us creating allies in future endeavors?
