Coronavirus (No politics)

I never said it prevents anything. Don't be the guy that wants to just argue for no reason.
You were the one that stated you hope only vaccinated people be allowed into the stadium...... who's trying to start an argument.... you voiced your opinion, I gave facts

No I can't answer the question. Out of my area of expertise. I've had COVID and I have been fully vaccinated. I believe I'm still had risk if I should get COVID. That;s my opinion.

Vaccinated and non-vaccinated people have gotten COVID and died. There have been people get COVID a second time or more and died.

Found a link to the first person to die after getting COVID a second time. Plenty of links about people getting COVID more than once. So I assume people can die getting infected twice or more.

Woman who died after catching COVID-19 twice believed to be first case of death after reinfection

Also saw a link where people can die months after being infected. That was new to me.

Thanks for sharing. I like my chances as they are being naturally vaccinated.

My opinion and your facts are two different conversations
Just like your original post.... it makes no sense.

You took a stand stating that you hope only vaccinated fans can enter the games.... your "opinion" effects many..... so I gave reasonable facts.... you are rambling. I digress.

So much for freedom, you cant cant sacrifice freedom for security..... but you cant see that

Good luck finding more nurses. Around 45% of the staff at my wife's hospital are unvaccinated. They've struggled to hire nurses for a while now, hence why my wife has been working tons of overtime and call lately.

She also recently had her review where she received a perfect score. So this hospital is going to fire my wife, one of the better nurses they have, because she won't get a vaccine that isn't approved, that she doesn't need, for a virus for which she already has antibodies in her system, and you people are celebrating it.

I'm fine with it also. My wife will be home with the children, that hospital will struggle and lose lots of money in the short term. And the quality of nurse in the hospital will go down. They'll lose a lot of good nurses over this. Hopefully states pass mandates going forward keeping this kind of stuff from happening.

Wonder what happens if one of these employees has an adverse reaction or dies from the vaccine.
I missed the guys celebrating this. Read a few who were pragmatic on the subject

Kind of odd that Fauci was on one of the liberal channels a couple days ago talking about how the vaccinated can spread the covid but odd that its been removed from social media

I wonder why the CEO of Pfizer has not been vaccinated
This tells you something doesn't it?

NOT ALL. Unless you have medical conditions that will not allow you to be vaccinated like my daughter. She is at risk for as long as COVID is around. She tried and wanted to be vaccinated and suffered. Now she lives at risk. Has spent 99% of her time at home since March 2020.

If she were to get COVID and die, I not give a crap about the high percentages of people not impacted. My daughter would still be dead.

People need to stop treating COVID and the vaccine with absolutes because they are not and I have personal experience. There is no ALL solution.

I assumed reasonable people would know there are always exceptions when I posted. I’m sorry about your daughter’s situation, truly.

What is funny about the pro vaxers is that when there is something positive about these vaccines its nothing but the truth but when there is something negative , its all lies. How about this. Anybody who wants the vaccine should get it and those who dont then they dont. I dont care who gets it

Except those who don’t get vaxxed can take up ICU beds that would otherwise go to people who had no control over their illness, unlike the unvaxxed. The city of Austin, TX has 6 ICU beds available as of today’s date. Let that sink in

Its along the same signs as the ribbon wearers "I'm helping by raising awareness" By bragging they are wearing masks even after getting vaxxed and demeaning those that haven't gotten the vaccine yet...it gives them their daily superiority complex fix
True, like I said I do not care who gets the shot and they can continue to wear the masks. I choose to live my life and not have the Govt or this clown Fauci telling me what is best for me. They like getting that superiority complex going.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT support an attendance restriction of any kind to attend football games this Fall, I am simply offering a reductio ad absurdum for those who argue the exclusion of unvaccinated people at games this year (or for who knows how long once that Pandora’s Box is opened—would proof of vaccine become a mandatory thing forever? It’s not like COVID is simply going to disappear, even with vaccines.).

Whereas, those who have been vaccinated can still contract COVID, become contagious, and die from the virus; and

Whereas, those dying from the virus, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, are typically in higher-risk age groups or compromised constitution, or a combination of both; and,

Whereas, those who are high-risk may actually just say they aren’t:

It follows that there should be an age and health restriction for attending UT football games. Those who are considered in high-risk age groups, say 50 and older, should not be allowed to attend, as they may catch COVID (whether vaccinated or unvaccinated) from others. This should be enforced by state-issued birth certificate certifying your age is under the requirement. Also, even if under the age requirement, a “clean bill of health” from your doctor must be provided to ensure you are not a high-risk individual.

Thus, to be safe, to save even just one life, we should propose a ban on all high-risk individuals from attending public events, especially those congregating for sport or music events.

We must do this for their own good. We must require proof of age & health to ensure that some will not simply lie about it. It is for the greater good.

Let this sink in the vaccinated are taking beds up in ICU but you would know nothing about that because your CDC and Govt will not tell the people that the vaccine is not working or people are dying from it because they know nobody will take the shot. They have to keep all the bad stuff from getting out. We are not doing the My body My Choice thing anymore?

Nevermind…….I wasn’t aware of the caliber of person I was responding to

“96% of all new Covid cases are in unvaccinated people and 96.8 of Covid deaths are unvaccinated “

They told everyone from the start the vaccines weren’t 100% effective. Personally, 96% is better odds of working then most everything else in my life. If you’re waiting on any medical treatment to be 100% then your never getting anything provided by the modern medicine system.

yea but I am aware what I am dealing with. All these vaxxed people are so sure of their vaccine that they are still scared of catching the virus from the unvaxxed.
That’s not why I’m concerned, I’m vaccinated. I’m concerned for our hospital system being overloaded to the max. People not being able to get elective surgeries, and rooms for other emergencies besides Covid patients. I am concerned for people suffering and dying needlessly. I’m concerned for the children who can’t be vaccinated. Also I believe the vaccine is the way out of the pandemic and will end the cycle.

I'm sorry but if a member of my family dies then percentages mean nothing to me and due to her health, my daughter cannot be covered with vaccinations. Her Docs tried and the vaccines almost got her. So really, could care less about percent if she gets COVID and doesn't make it.

Doesn't matter what anyone's situation is or how small a chance they or their loves have to contract COVID, it a love one gets it and dies, being part of 1 percent won't matter to you or me. Forget all odds if I lose a family member.

'All of them': Tennessee health chief says children's hospitals will fill up as the delta variant surges
Delta is flooding hospitals in Tennessee, and pediatric wings won't escape the crisis, the state's top health official said this week.
Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey said the accelerated spread of the delta variant, on top of an unexpected rise of an unrelated respiratory disease, is on pace to completely fill children's hospitals across the state by the end of next week.
“All of them,” Piercey said Thursday, adding later: "Never in my career have I seen hospitals full in the summer."

Tennessee health chief says children's hospitals could be full by next week

One big potential concern for people that are vaccinated like me is that eventually a far worse strain variant will emerge that will completely evade the current vaccines along with being more lethal. This could def happen as long as enough people still won’t get the vaccines giving this virus plenty of fresh hosts to find and continue to mutate.

This is supposed to be a non political post but you can't seem to understand that. Simply just disagreeing would have been just fine.
