Coronavirus (No politics)

Over 90% of the people requiring hospitalization are Unvaccinated. Anecdotally, 100% of the people I have admitted to the hospital in the past 3 weeks were unvaccinated. Yes, the vaccinated can still get Covid but the chances of getting very sick are greatly reduced.

but chances of passing it to others is still possible. Thus, players getting COVID won't play ball. Players exposed to those with COVID will have to quarantine.

I've no argument at all with what you said on numbers. agree the shot reduces risk of serious illness for many people but not for all. JMO

Prior infection is the strongest immunity you can have, no matter the timeline at this point. People are hung up on “antibodies present” but discount the memory cells that recognize foreign bodies quickly and make the required antibodies. I’ve had both, so I’m basically Superman at this point.

But if you passed it to another vaccinated person, neither of you would be very sick and would most likely not require hospitalization, so vaccines for all are beneficial

If you have "immune issues" that make you feel you shouldn't have the shot then you damn sure should not want to be a game full of unvaccinated people.

I had a negative reaction over the flu years ago. My immune system attacked my nerve cells at the base of my esophagus that aid in swallowing. Very painful still to this day. See, I'm not scared. I am not scared of catching COVID, I will not let it rule my life. I already have some natural immunity to COVID due to catching the 2013 cold (A corona virus similar to this one) and being directly exposed for hours on end to COVID in December. Anyone who want to take the shot can, and they can trust the science like I do that says natural exposure means natural immunities.

And those of us who already had COVID and see no point in taking an experimental non-FDA approved vaccine that has been shown to not prevent infection or spreading of the virus?

My wife and I both tested positive in early November. We both had the usual symptoms and the worst part was chronic fatigue for a few weeks afterward. Lost smell & taste and was slightly out of breath for a week. However, I had strep throat a month before and was bed-ridden for 3 days. Had the flu the year prior and it was way worse than COVID, too. My wife tested positive again in March, so we quarantined a second time, but had absolutely zero symptoms.

If being vaccinated doesn’t stop infections or becoming contagious, then why should they be mandatory? And especially for those who already possess natural immunity?

The policy you are pushing merely says “submit, and don’t ask questions.”

Your description of your other illness and Covid infection sounds a bit like "I wrecked my car when I was drunk once and walked away without a scratch so what is the big deal? I was hurt worse falling down at home"

Correct. If you feel safer in a crowd of 100k than getting a vaccine with minimal side effects, then I’m not sure what to say.

I don't need the vaccine. I have been exposed naturally. No need for me to pump something else into my veins. If you are scared then you should take the shot and trust the science.

Is anyone hearing any updates on limiting spectators for this season?
If they don't allow more than 50% capacity for the rest of my life, I won't give it one thought. Being able to have some room and bathroom convenience weigh out in my book. After a few years of it, no one of significance will give a damn. TV money will be through the roof and schools will care less about attendance. More importantly, it will be better for the fans as a game day experience. At least for those who will pay a little more for tickets

News outlets report 99%. The number is dropping.

The shot is supposed to stop the virus from making more variants but since the vaccinated can still get covid how does this stop more variants?

Oh, you had the common cold once? Yep, I am sure you will be fine then.........

Agree but how do you verify? Everyone will say they’ve had it and just didn’t go see a doctor because their symptoms weren’t severe. Vax card is only way to verify and if everyone would get vaxxed we would have a lot fewer headaches than we have currently
I have a stamped paper from the doc saying I tested positive for covid a few weeks ago

Ah, so you simply dismiss my actual experience of having COVID by comparing it to a ridiculous scenario? That’s not an argument, that is a non-sequitor.

My experience with COVID was very mild compared to other highly-contagious illnesses that I recently had. That is my experience, so no one can tell me “You’re going to be hospitalized and have to be intubated! You’re going to die if you don’t get vaccinated!” I have most often been told this by people who never had COVID, themselves, but rather feast on (or, instead, are themselves feasted upon) the fear perpetuated by the powers that be.

As it stands, I already had COVID and thus neither fear contracting it again nor have any desire to get vaccinated for it.

I hope EVERYONE is able to go and enjoy watching the Vols play this Fall.

Fauci thinks he's king. he's not.
Kind of odd that Fauci was on one of the liberal channels a couple days ago talking about how the vaccinated can spread the covid but odd that its been removed from social media

I wonder why the CEO of Pfizer has not been vaccinated

I catch the cold every year...sometime multiple times a year, plus direct exposure to COVID 19. I have at least some immunity already. My cousin and his girlfriend both have COVID. Both tested positive, both lost their sense of smell, and both were FULLY vaccinated. Seems like a very effective "vaccine".

Not ridiculous at all. Your mild Covid symptoms compared to your symptoms of the flu and strep had nothing to do with the argument at all other than to try and make others think Covid is not that big of a deal. If your point was to say that since you already had you don't feel you need the vaccine then it was an irrelevant observation/comparison to make. But I think it was clear you were trying to dismiss concerns of Covid by saying it was less severe than strep or the flu, which statistically is absolute BS. I have either watched or been a part of the care of dozens of people who have died from Covid in the last year or so but only had 1 patient that I know of die from the flu in 10 years.

I have yet to see anyone address why so few blacks are getting vaccinated. Based solely on voting tendencies in the last federal election, I would assume them to be the most trusting of Biden and yet they bring up the rear in vaccinations and make up 26% of deaths in this country, which is getting close to double their portion of the overall population. What is the hold up?
Maybe Biden needs to tell them its only "back shots" I don't blame minorities one bit...history of lying from government and no its not ancient history 40 Years of Human Experimentation in America: The Tuskegee Study
