Coronavirus (No politics)

AZ to seek approval in US....small uptick in daily vaccinations around 650k yesterday...I still stand by my thought that with nearly 3/4ths of US adults fully vaccinated and more with natural immunity due to having COVID, I don't think there are enough unvaccinated left to drive the uptick in cases...I've canceled my Route 66 road trip twice because of this virus...not doing it again...we roll out next month https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.us...oval-of-covid-vaccine-in-2nd-half?context=amp

Get the damn vaccine fools. My only side effect was a sore arm I mean it’s better than being dead or having scarred lungs for life. Drop your stupid conspiracy theories and do the right thing here. I swear it’s mostly alot of uneducated and unintelligent southerners who are refusing to get the vaccine makes me embarrassed to live down here. Selfish and stupid people are killing themselves and other people.
It’s blacks who are least vaccinated. Your ire is misdirected.

I’m finally over most of my symptoms… took about 12 days. Still have a little something in my chest, my stomach is not quite right and feel kinda foggy, but I feel so much better than I did. That crap is awful
Glad you're feeling better.

And only 4 of them hospitalized and 0 deaths. Sounds like good odds to me. I tell you what doesn't make sense...someone claiming COVID tests can't be trusted due to false positives yet claiming they definitely had COVID (would require a positive from said tests) and don't need a vaccine because they have natural immunity. Whatever fits the desired narrative...
You missed the fact that the vaccine has turned people into unsuspecting incubators.

And, I think you need to re read the article. Of the 5 hospitalized, 4 were fully vaccinated.

I know what he meant as do you. If blacks would get vaccinated at same rate as whites, the gap would be significantly reduced particularly in southern states with higher percentage of black population.
Do you think white southerners have a vaccination rate equal to, above, or lower then northern states?

I read the article just fine. "Unsuspecting incubators"...yeah, infectious for a much shorter time frame than unvaccinated people. Only 4 vaccinated people in the hospital and no deaths. Keep thinking whatever you want. That's a highly vaccinated state that is dealing with less hospitalizations and deaths than the low vaccinated southern states.

I know some local hospitals down here in Georgia that would LOVE to have those numbers.

How do you know how long? They’re saying they can even shed more virus?
I’m for vaccines, but vaccines aren’t supposed to turn vaccinated people into virus spreaders.

Got my first Pfizer dose Saturday and my dad got his first dose of Moderna during the week. Just need to keep getting vaccinated so we can help put the brakes on this whole thing and finally stop talking that much about it. It's going to be around for a while, so those that are risking it are taking an unnecessary risk with their lives and others.

This plus hearing directly from a healthcare executive that sees what's happening at four hospitals and multiple urgent care centers and has info relayed directly to them from their doctors. Also, vaccines work by getting your body to produce antibodies so you can fight off an infection. No vaccine has a 100% success rate, but good ones can have an efficacy of 90%...which is what the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are showing after two doses. Saying a vaccine turns people into a virus spreader makes absolutely no sense. Maybe you meant to say that they should prevent people from spreading the virus?E7g91n8VgAMae7z.jpeg.jpg

So here's a nonpolitical non-idiot curiosity. The UK cases have fallen about by half in 2 weeks. I'm not sure why their case numbers were so bad. That was almost unbelievable. Now I'm not sure why they're so much lower. However, it may be that other countries will see the same sort of drop off or maybe already did. India already did, but certainly I realize they are dealing with a lot larger population and can less afford to identify all the cases. I can make up reasons why this quick reversal might happen, but to a non-idiot, made up reasons are made up.

I am too lazy to look through too many other countries, but it does look like a big delta variant wave doesn't last long and maybe even doesn't cause a lot of deaths. In the USA deaths have not really popped. The cases started going up a month ago. The delta variant wave might just be sharp under certain conditions, like the conditions in the UK. Like Delta is introduced late, lots of people already have immunity, that sort of thing.

So I just got off a work conference call. Company is now requiring masks for everyone (even vaccinated) across all facilities and corporate offices. I’m so sick of this BS. Rant over.....carry on.
The government is getting ready to try tolock everyone in their muzzles again. I’ve got a feeling this may not go well this time
