I talked to the SIL alone afterwards. I told her she needs to be done with him. I told her he does not care about her or the kid - he just cares about mooching off her. I booked 5 nights for her and the kids to take a vacation. They haven't had one in over 4 years.

Sounds like he's riding the gravy train with biscuit wheels, which means that at least one person in this whole scenario is actually doing okay and may even be happy. Based on what's been posted, if the relationship ends it's not going to result in more happy happy people or even a transfer of happiness from person to another. It's just gonna make everyone miserable. Leave the baby daddy alone and try to take some comfort in the fact that you're helping at least one person to maintain a little slice of contentment.

Let's see, there's 3 kids caught up in this mess. An unhappy SIL. An unhappy SIL then complains to my wife, which then ticks off my wife. And unhappy wife isn't good for me.

Me and spouse have ton of Hilton points between us. Hilton has been devaluing the points quicker than we can go through them. We found a hotel out of town that hasn't completely devalued the points yet. Gives them a chance to enjoy themselves a bit.

it sounds like it won’t take long for sil to find the next one. So…getting baby daddy off the payroll ain’t gonna solve your problems.

let’s say that there was fraud errwhere. And audits prove there was fraud errwhere. And if not for fraud then Trump would have won err state. Nothing would change in the last election…….because……..the president is actually elected by the electoral college. Not a popular vote. The only thing audits and proof would do is show a need for reform. Biden is the president till the next election.

I just can’t believe how many people don’t get that

You aint wrong. This one is a lot more drama than the prior 2 guys (first guy was high school fling and second guy was a guy she briefly dated). The 2nd guy ain't half bad. He has a job, is in the kid's life and is the only guy between the 2 SILs that pays child support somewhat regularly. I hope the drama of a multi-year live in relationship will keep her from jumping back in so soon.

depends on what happens in the mid terms. if r's get enough seats, they will impeach Biden/Harris and a republican house speaker will become president.

That wasn’t directed at the conversation, that didn’t bother me at all. It was just a statement on how I feel about politics. I use to enjoy talking about politics and learning about the different ideologies and when I did, I’m out on it. Guess I just added to it. 😁.
