Things I'm mad about today

Update

He did show up. He has another vehicle (2005ish Buick Sedan). He was super pissed and ticked. There was a lot of yelling and name calling. My wife let our neighbor (Former military, owns private security firm) know the situation. Wife and neighbor watched very intently the SIL and Baby Daddy. When the Baby Daddy got a little louder, the neighbor (who is 6 5, 245) walked over and that quieted the Baby Daddy down.

I pulled the Baby Daddy aside and tried to reason with him. I told him she got a really good price for the truck. I told him that even if he was employed full time, they could not afford that truck. I told them they are are both in their mid 30s without a penny of savings. He argued that they could afford the truck. I told him that Im a CPA and I have 2 decades of experience determining when people can afford things and when they cant. I told him Jen (SIL) is ticked that he did not attempt to look for a job. His explanation for not looking was that he was going to wait til Trump is reinstated next month before he starts looking for a job. He said he was going to call the cops about the truck. I had to tell him that it was in her name and that she was making the payments. I reiterated that they could not afford the truck. He then said "I'm upset, this truck was something that connected him and Jen" and I was like "YOU TWO HAVE A KID".

Baby Daddy then brought up how I'm being a hypocrite because I have a truck and my wife has a Mercedes. (Might, I add, we have a used 2011 Silverado and a used 2012 Mercedes - the combined price was less than $55K). He then asked what I should do. I was like he needed to grow up and be a good dad for their kid. That involves showing responsiblity with a job and money. I said to get and keep a job, save up some money, sell the sedan, and pay cash for a truck. I told him he needs to show Jen that he can be responsible. I told him Jen is at the end of her rope. I said you should be ashamed that the mother of your kid comes over here crying and worrying about money all the time and worrying about how she is going to FEED YOUR KID. I said him and Jen need a few days apart to think about things. I was like I know this sucks for you but Jen made the right decision for her, you, and the kids with the truck. It seemed like a light went on for him but that's happened before.

Me and the wifey used some points to book Jen and the kids a short getaway.

Dang, that’s a lot to take in. First, I’m glad all of you are safe after all that. Only thing else I’ll butt my nose into, I hope the SIL cuts bait and moves on, I know it easy for me to say on this side of a phone.

I think the Baby Daddy knows the gravy train is ending. I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves (he's from out of state). He's threatened it before.

I talked to the SIL alone afterwards. I told her she needs to be done with him. I told her he does not care about her or the kid - he just cares about mooching off her. I booked 5 nights for her and the kids to take a vacation. They haven't had one in over 4 years.

It’s like reading a full blown Jerry Springer episode. I hope you, your wife, SIL and especially the children involved, have peace for however all of you can get.

Ok, on the Zone Springer show, Jerry Souceger will be interviewing the SIL and they bring out the Baby Daddy. The SIL says "I got a secret" and out comes @NorCalVol67 with a wine bottle and he smashes it over the Baby Daddy's head. They embrace.

I bet this is the only time in Springer history they said "Let's bring out the sommelier"
