Just remember that guns in civilian hands are not just to protect against a standing army. It's to protect against tyranny on a smaller scale. If they're coming for you, it will not be a platoon of tanks. It will be much smaller scale. Millions and millions of Americans with firearms are a much bigger deterent to government run amuck than one might think. Why do you think they're coming after the AR15? It can't be because they want to reduce crime. AR15s are responsible for a statistically insignificant amount of crime. Even smaller when they're legally purchased.

Guns are the great equalizer when it comes to protecting your family, your possessions, and yourself from a criminals and yes, to a tyrannical government.

It's all a product of the rich getting a taste during WWII. After that they realized if they always had an enemy(imagined) then they could always talk the American people into yet another war. The cold war was marketing genius. Then Saddam did them a huge favor we are still paying for. So many lives snuffed out or maimed or mentally destroyed so corporations could get their billions. The evil mutation of "patriotism." And we talking about trans people when our populace has been lied to for decades. Sads.

there is no political party when it comes to sending our citizens off to die. the greatest example of showing how they are all in bed together. Blows my mind people can't wrap their head around it.

The problem is just like Vietnam. You do not know who to eliminate. There is not a clear cut definition of who you are after. They are not in uniforms, could be women, kids etc. The old saying alls far in love and war is not correct anymore. Just look at what my nephews go through everyday as a sheriff and a state trooper.

I had an Anti-Aircraft Battery in my backyard but my HOA said it wasn't allowed per the covenants. I argued that there was nothing in the covenants that specifically said we could not have anti-aircraft batteries in our backyards but the put a lien on my property so I had to get rid of it.

I don't really think people need military weaponry. That's just my opinion. Whatever you need to defend your home and hunt is fine. But if you say that you need to build an arsenal to defend against the government, the argument doesn't really seem logical to me because you can't scale to that size.

But I'm not going to support legislating that or anything. Just an opinion.

Forget who said it, but they were asked if elected president, what their first action would be. Said their first action would have to be to put themselves in front of a court for war crimes. Basically saying...nearly every modern president has sat by with war crimes occurring. Unbeknownst to most of us, at least until years later.
