Ima have HBPW add it to her list.
If you don't like it you won't like any of it. It's smooth enough to sip on. The Pompeian is about $4 for the same size and it's a little more acidic, but it's really good in bruschetta and marinating olives, tomatoes, artichoke, beans, roasted peppers etc. I just made this yesterday, in a bowl not a glass, and used the Pompeian. It's amazing.

I’ve always heard that the Grainger Co tomatoes we find in grocery stores are Empire tomatoes. It’s a variety grown by farmers, but I’ve never seen seed or plants for sale to Backyard Bill and Barb.

For store maters, they’re nice and tasty, although I think a lot of what makes them special is the soil, latitude, and altitude. The terroir, I guess.

Years ago, we all looked forward to Grainger county tomatoes. It was the first of the tomato crop that tasted from the garden. Now it seems like they slap that label on any kind of tomato.

My MIL used to make the yearly trek to Grainger County to get tomatoes to can. She quit several years ago saying that the ones you bought at the farm stores were the ones that were rejected from going to the big stores. Sometimes commercialization ain't the best thing for your base.

I now buy mine from farmers selling them on the side of the road. It’s still hit or miss. Anyone that wants to truck this over to the other thread, have at it.

My stupit pepper plants haven't grown in almost a month. They look healthy and fine, just not growing. It's just weird to me.

Lol, no. There about an inch and a half tall, same height they've been for 3 weeks and have 4 leaves. 2 bigger than the other 2.

I looked for about 30 minutes this morning for pics I posted on here. I found the ones where they were just sprouting but not the others ones. Got tired of looking. Was gonna see when it was because they haven't grown since then.
