Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Roughly 10 times more child deaths from motor vehicle accidents in a given year than for covid.

@Tyler Durden can you link us your posts about the dangers of using motor vehicles with children?
Is this the new line of thinking / talking point for red hats regarding the COVID vaccine?

Kids die in car wrecks everyday, so why can't I infect them with COVID?

Odd stance to take.

No, just my stance with you.

You seem to apply a level of caution needed with respect to covid and children. Yet, with literally more dangerous activities associated with children you dont apply the same level of caution.

What gives? Does data bother you? You prefer whimsical decision making?

Odd that you assumed I was going on the vaccination route. It's none of my business. The contract tracing is only to see who else may have been exposed.

Also, and I'm not pointing the finger at you, the messaging here is really confusing. Those who may be at risk should take the precautions they see fit to protect themselves, and those who take precautions to protect themselves are scaredy cat liberals who live in fear even if they aren't complaining about others.
I think there are more delineations than that...
Rona bros- believe Gov science and get vaccinated no matter what evidence is put forth.
There's the wait n see crowd, not enough data available to prove the dna alterations are ok.
Already had covid and have natural immunity, don't need it. (That's me.)
No vax no way, the naturalists.

Me either and when I was little and used to ride between my parents before car seats and seat belts were a thing, my dad used to hold out his right arm to protect me if he had to brake suddenly. How did I ever live to adulthood?

It was a miracle.

No it shows your level of caring is situational to support your dumbass diatribe. That was obvious to everybody... except you... as usual.

sounds like they were as selfish as mine - no helmet for bike riding, let me buy a motorcycle at 14, go to the neighborhood pool every day, collect for my paper route at stranger's homes when I was 12.

now I'm learning from Tyler that they were unfit parents.

Wonder if Bubble Boy’s parents made him play flag football in the yard.

I wouldn't say that's the line of thinking.

There's a point of inflection between being careful and being hyper-cautious. I'm not as conservative as I once was, but I grew up riding my bike without a helmet and rode in the back of my dad's truck quite often and wish my kids could have the same experiences (we're saving up for bikes to start). Oddly, it's my dad who won't let the grandkids ride in the back of his truck now.

Give them some grace and try to see what they're really saying. There's more common ground than you think.

Watching the PGA Championship. There is a commercial for PGA Junior Leauge. In it, Steph Curry makes a cameo and advises junior golfers to not shake hands.

When will this competition of stupidity end.

Once I’ve had my second shot, I’m done wearing a mask. Even now, I’m wearing a mask as a courtesy because my employer still requires it and other businesses haven’t lifted their own mask requirements.

Between the vaccination and actually having had Covid, I’m immune and and pose no real danger to anyone.

You emotionally driven Karens just stay the **** home and stay out of our way.

This. I want to scream your last sentence from the rooftops.

Just like in football; some MDs are a hell of a lot better than others....Always check what medical school they attended. That will tell you a hint as to their qualifications.

I’m sorry but this is false. It really doesn’t matter what medical school you go to.

Vaccinated people can still spread COVID to unvaccinated people. Vaccinated people wearing masks, sometimes 2, to not spread COVID to unvaccinated people isn't theater.

Vaccinated people hugging other vaccinated people isn't theater. It's a benefit of being vaccinated and not having to worry about COVID.

But you made a comment about parents giving their child a vaccine for a preventable disease. Yet we know that even if vaccinated, a person can still get COVID and spread it.

So how is COVID a preventable disease?
