On Saturday May 15, 2021 at approximately 6:20 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the Taverna Rustic Italian Restaurant, located at 3549 Silverside Road, Wilmington, for a report of a domestic altercation. When the troopers arrived, they were contacted by a 44-year-old female victim who informed them she had been punched in the side of the face by Mr. Brown after the two of them began arguing about a social media post. After he assaulted the victim, Mr. Brown got up from the booth where they were seated and threw a glass of water, which broke into pieces. Mr. Brown then exited the establishment prior to the trooperโ€™s arrival. The victim sustained some redness to the side of her face but did not require any medical attention.

Troopers from Troop 1 obtained warrants for Darius Brownโ€™s arrest for Offensive Touching and Disorderly Conduct, which are both misdemeanors.

Those kids were breaking the law, criticize the politicians that wrote it.

I would be 100% with you if this had been a weekend lemon-aid stand the kids set up but it wasn't. It turned into a full time business that wasn't playing by the rules all of their competitors were playing by.

Remember that when the cops come collect your guns. They'll just be enforcing the law.

Seriously Ras, would you feel differently had this business been owned by adults? Should all restaurants (they were serving food) say piss on the law, we're not having health inspections or paying taxes?

So now we're supporting using police to enforce health regulations and revenue collections? Where are the small govt conservatives at that were out here whining about mask mandates and businesses getting shut down last year? What good did a damn business license do then?

This one votes against every incumbent politician even if I have to write myself in. The police are just enforcing the laws elected politicians pass.

And when they do the same thing by enforcing an unjust gun law, I don't want to here any complaints from the rightwing snowflakes.

Sure.

What would you have the police do? Ignore laws they feel are unjust? Each of them decide what laws they choose to enforce?

They already so

I think enforcement is ok in this case but did it warrant the police? Don't they already have codes enforcement, health inspectors, etc?
