I am a former alcoholic. I quit 32 years ago. I would get drunk everyday. For me it took accountability from a non family member. A friend who called me multiple times a day to check on me. He did this for several months. I hated what being drunk all the time did to me, but could not quit until I was willing to open up to a friend who was bold enough to hold my feet to the fire.
well done, 30 years for me

Apparently Vitello already has some donors ready to contribute to facility upgrades according to Hubbs.

He's right. Funding for LNS renos was originally earmarked from the upcoming TV money, but moving up the schedule meant bringing in donors. Fulmer started this process several years ago and was working with Tony V to move forward with his plan. The phase-in started, but was slowed internally. Donors are onboard, and funds are available, with more on the way.

That’s good news but no need to give Fulmer credit any AD with eyes could see we needed to give vitello and the baseball program a much needed lift

Why August? I was saying 7-5 a month ago and getting blasted for it. "Your expectations are too high".
7 wins is realistic. I think Vegas will ultimately set the line at 6.5.

7 wins means beating 3 out of Pitt, South Carolina, Mizzou, Kentucky, and Ole Miss.

If we can't manage that... Well I'd hold off on your Heupel tattoos.

He gets credit when he does good.... blame when he does the wrong..... Phil is a vol through and through.... just a bad AD.

Well, Fulmer started the process and was moving it forward quickly. Despite internal headwinds.

I don't get the indiscriminate Fulmer-bashing. Give him credit for what he did right; hold him accountable for what he did wrong. That would apply to others, as well.

Edit: Volbeast'd. I concur.

But not Pruitt, right?

Screw that Fulmer was the worst AD the program has ever had and he gave himself a nice retirement Package on his way out, he basically was a succubus for the program I don’t think he needs credit for “starting” something

He gets no credit unless he wants relinquish his selfish retirement package

Hindsight is always 20/20, but I truly believe Fulmer knew Pruitt had the 2022 in-state class locked up, so he was willing to give him one more year to turn it around just so he could get those kids enrolled and on campus. I don't understand why he is hated now. He was thrown into a mess after the Schiano deal. All other sports improved under him, and he has always had the best intentions for UT sports.

You must be fun at parties. Aside from hiring Tony Vitello, Jon Currie was worse.

His intentions lean heavily on lining his own pockets and sticking with a coach who gave us major infractions all while meddling with game planning. He wasn’t an AD and he didn’t care about other sports other than football. He deserves no credit unless he starts giving money back into the program he so gladly took from…
