I quit at the same age 24. weed, cocaine, Quaaludes, whiskey, speed, and many others. Withdrawals were real! Quit cold turkey when the Lord changed my life.

Family, friends... all said weed is a gateway to all these other drugs.

I remember teaching kids this in 5th and 6th grade....then watching them start with this in 7th and 8th grade. Most went on to other things in high school.

I am a former alcoholic. I quit 32 years ago. I would get drunk everyday. For me it took accountability from a non family member. A friend who called me multiple times a day to check on me. He did this for several months. I hated what being drunk all the time did to me, but could not quit until I was willing to open up to a friend who was bold enough to hold my feet to the fire.

Everyone needs a release valve at times. Some use VN in that very way when terrible shiz is happening or something great is happening in their life.

Don't see the point in trying to dictate or criticize how others should find or use their release valve. Live, let live, and be supportive.

My gateway was a mixture of alcohol and FOMO haha. Bout to hit 2 years clean from opiates, which was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my lifeby far. Recovery is a lifestyle not many people are willing/ able to work for...
