I’ve read your struggles with this, is he working to quit? You know you’re in my prayers and so is your husband. Recovery for him equals recovery for you 10 x over. That's awesome! I know so many who are struggling. Among them is my husband. Y'all please keep him in your prayers. He really wants to quit drinking, but he is struggling.
I am a former alcoholic. I quit 32 years ago. I would get drunk everyday. For me it took accountability from a non family member. A friend who called me multiple times a day to check on me. He did this for several months. I hated what being drunk all the time did to me, but could not quit until I was willing to open up to a friend who was bold enough to hold my feet to the fire.TY! He is actually trying to cut down without much success. Hates it. Hates himself because of it.
Or maybe when people encourage him to keep going, it helps him keep going. I mean, he's had a lot of bad tweets. Maybe he needs that encouragement."it's" more about.... What is it? I'm aware that people use support groups, what does that have to do with people fishing for recognition?
Easy peasyEveryone needs a release valve at times. Some use VN in that very way when terrible shiz is happening or something great is happening in their life.
Don't see the point in trying to dictate or criticize how others should find or use their release valve. Live, let live, and be supportive.
