If their reason for wanting to make DC a state is to give it's citizens representation in congress giving the land back to MD and VA is the obvious solution. But we all know that isn't their real motivation.

Of course, we all know the real reason for not moving the federally unused parts of DC back into VA and ND. That just adds dems to safe VA and MD dem havens; creating a new dem state gives them two more Ds in the senate plus a small bonus in the house - the senate seats are what they are really after ... gives them a nice win in the EC, too. This is simply a dem power grab that has nothing at all to do with the poor "unrepresented" DC lemmings.

I have no problem with them making DC a state as long as they remove the federal government from there. Hell we might as well send all the politicians home and do everything on Zoom. We could save a fortune.

Na, Cananda is like America's attic. It's nice to go up there and look around but there really isn't anything of any value there.

Canada has some good farmland and a lot of metal ores - granted they don't necessarily have oars in the water, but that's another story. Good buffer land, too, if Artic goes away and the Russians feel compelled to row across and do us harm.

All about them 2 Senate seats. Member all those convos on here from progs about how the smaller states having 2 seats was unfair?
Surely they would not bust the filibuster for such...would they?
