MLB cancels ASG in Atlanta

That is the most depressing thing I could have read this morning.

Gutfeld made a great point about her yesterday. Some study said she is the most ineffective member of congress. He said that is absolutely incorrect. While none of her sponsored bills have gone anywhere, she doesn't care about that. Like the Socialists everywhere, she is playing the long game. She doesn't care about us old people. She is going after your kids and your grandkids. And she's winning. I have said it before too. She is the most dangerous person in DC.
Sorry if my post put you in a foul mood. But I think Gutfeld is correct and I only see AOC becoming more influential with time.

My main contention was with the state giving themselves the ability to go in and throw out the local group and replace them with someone they get to select. And them taking away a person elected by statewide vote (SOS) and replacing them with a person of their choice.
You can see the difference and the problem.
That’s at least a substantive argument. I’ll be interested to see where you stand on HR 1 which effectively does the same thing to state governments from a federal perspective.

So, you are scared of elected officials At the state level when Joe blow at the local voting precinct can do whatever the hell he wants?

Very much so.
None of them won a state wide election. Every one of them is locally elected. They removed the only person who has to win in a statewide election.

Sounds like you need to move to Colorado or California to be around your like minded scaredy cats. So just what do you think these people are going to do? You don't have an argument against GA's voting law so quit pretending you do.

link?
I'm pretty sure I didn't say that. I think you may be telling a little lie.
Hey @luthervol here is HB1, read it and tell us how it's not centralizing control of elections which in the end was your only gripe about the GA legislation.

I'm not reading through all of that. Feel free to pick a specific part.
It's not the point. You're main point of contention with the GA legislation ended up being the state taking control away from the localities. Why wouldn't you feel the same with HB1?
So when your team does it it's okay.
Not always, but it does seem to work out that way far more than 50% of the time.
It is certainly that way with the current examples we are discussing.

Amazing isn't it. She runs 25000 jobs OUT of town and she's a hero.

You didn't put those two things together correctly - not surprising since you actually have a work ethic. Think about it - 25,000 new jobs would have put pressure on the resident unemployed; they would potentially have to show why they can't work to keep government paying them not to work. And, true, there, is a corollary - with more jobs and taxes coming in, then government can more easily afford to pay the grifters who don't want the jobs.

republicans would definitely never win hahaha

Democrats think black people are too dumb to use the internet or acquire an ID. Your side thinks there are more than 2 biological sexes. Your side believes the redistribution of wealth creates a better society for all.

You have zero leg to stand on when it comes to being educated.

Exactly where did I say I supported the bill?
That conversation to me reads this way.......(I'll fill in the parts you left out)
You asked something about the bill and it being similar to the GA bill in that it centralized power over elections, and provided a link to the bill.
I stated I wasn't going to read through all of that and asked you to pick a specific point.
You picked same day registration.
I asked what was wrong with same day registration and stated that it was in no way as concerning as GA replacing the SOS with someone appointed by by the legislature and the legislature's ability to replace a county's election board with someone of their own choosing.
You said something idiotic like "so it's okay when your side does it."
And I said, NOT ALWAYS but it seems to work out that way more than 50% of the time and certainly with the examples we are currently discussing.

But again, pick out any part you wish to discuss about either bill and I'll gladly discuss it.

There's a huge difference in being educated and being wise.

Wisdom isn't in their wheel house.

Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National, got it right today in his response to a question about Georgia's new voting legislation. Google it and read/listen to it
