Turner is hurt, was 10 MPH down in her start Monday, not sure when/if she’ll be back. Bender threw at Alabama, but has been dealing with a nagging shoulder deal that dates back to her time at Iona. Very limited in practice.

Might have to get Morgan and Milloy warmed and practicing pitching again

Milloy held the Mexico national team scoreless for around six innings we might have to give her a shot if this keeps up. Maybe she can be Gaffey 2.0.

Whether it be injuries, lack of talent, missing out on recruits, recruits not being as good as they were suppose to be, or bad luck UT hasn't had a solid #2 pitcher it what seems like forever. Why does this happen just about every season? What's the deal?
UT with Ashley pitching can beat just about anyone, without Ashley UT isn't a top 25 team. Obviously a glaring issue with UT sotball.

2 years ago we went Moss, Arnold, and Rogers......Rogers passes Arnold....she gets upset and leaves.....last year was supposed to go Rogers, Arnold, Turner.....we all know what happened.....The weekly's went after Juarez who is at OU....so they have tried to get another pitcher in....At the time the portal wasn't that popular now it is with players....so if you're looking for a impact pitcher I'm sure you can find one or a juco pitcher who is being overlooked

No front line established pitcher will be transferring here with the Weekly’s at the helm. To many people with their hands in the pitching jar.

It's no secret that Washington's staff is basically Plain and nobody else. However, Washington has a better offense and a much better defense (half as many errors). At the very least, they took two games from Arizona (top ten) and split with ASU (top 15), including a recent run-rule win over ASU. We could have a fighting chance if our offense and defense were actually consistent. Our bats usually go quiet against good pitchers and the defense is still shaky at times -- we are down to a .975 fielding % which isn't great. What's amazing is that in Rogers' four losses, we were shut out twice and scored a total of seven runs. In the case of Plain, she's undefeated because she actually gets pretty consistent support from her offense.

Kid can pitch, hope it’s not a product of being reprogrammed. Didn’t see yesterday’s game but have seen her enough to know she can be effective in eating innings and getting outs.

Believe she’s been battling a lingering injury. With that said heating pads are also part of a pitchers arsenal of care/therapy with the impact and repetition done on hips, SI joint and shoulders.

The thinking of coaches has changed now too because of showcase recruiting being the way. If you have a Monica or Parker you go all in, but most teams will carry multiple moving forward as kids in travel are going 3-4 innings with a few that go 6+ for championship games. I believe Marty with his 2021 class inked 3 pitchers and has 8 on roster now. Going back to the 21 & 22 class for Tennessee has been as good as any with in-state kids, power, speed, spins, righties and lefties that are all committed D1 elsewhere. Pickens will have to be given time but also understand she’ll be recruited over in the name of getting back on top of the Weeklys are still here in 2022.
