The Atlanta Braves

If San Fran wants Mac Jones that bad they could have easily traded with Detroit and just give up one first and take Jones lol

Is there a source other than forums and twitter? It just doesn't make sense. We are in similar shape to what he failed at with USC, with less talent and an open portal, and we haven't been relevant in 20 years. He'd be crazy to come here. That's why we ended up with a UCF staff that was replaced by better coaches.
The older I get, the more I see the value in looking at the organization/team that a person just left in trying to figure out if they will be good at the new stop. There is an easy temptation to write off any criticism of the departing person as sour grapes, but doesn't it seem like assessments by the prior team's fanbase are right more often than they are wrong?

Al Davis absolutely blasted Lane, and said he was a flat out liar. Cincy fans weren't exactly broken up to see Butch go, and one article in the Cincy paper warned specifically about his cliches. Kansas St fans weren't broken up at all to see Currie go. Alabama fans had doubts about Pruitt as a head coach, but many of them worried that their own defense would suffer once he left. All of those feelings turned out to be right. And each time it was dismissed - sour grapes, Al Davis was senile, etc. Well, I mean Al was senile but he was right about Kiffin.

I was initially given some optimism when we hired Danny White purely because UCF people on social media and elsewhere seemed borderline heartbroken when he left. And it wasn't just purely because he was the guy who hired Scott Frost; people seemed to like him as a person there and thought highly of his intelligence and judgment. However I have to say I came back down to earth real quick when we hired Heupel. UCF people seemed borderline happy, and at the very least indifferent, to him leaving. And they all think they upgraded coaches when Gus rolled into town.

MLB keeps going crazy about the black Mets jersey while the Braves are gearing up for a fourth straight division title. SAD!

I get NY is a top 2 market, but its honestly crazy how much Atlanta gets ignored. Atlanta is supported by most of the SE you think MLB would try and pull as many as they can.

In case you’ve never noticed, I don’t really care what the talking heads have to say. Vegas has us about a dead heat with the Mets. I think that’s a fair assessment.
